That being said,, I wonder how many different forums and websites are spreading the news of this upcoming event,, as this is the only forum I visit,, every day. It would be great if there is a way that all the "classracer.com followers" could get together, do a Meet & Greet, or something like that. Theres going to be a lot of us there, whether racers or crew members or spectators or fans. I'd like to put a face and a handshake to many of the names I've seen on here and have posted with. I'm sure I'm not alone on this. Once again, Michael, thank you for doing this.

Knowing Anthony & Michael I'm sure they have lots in store for this event, as if everything posted isn't enough...LOL. I think 2 years ago (maybe 3) Anthony had a band at FFF with a corn hole tourney and so on....they really go out of there way for the racers. Just ask anyone who has ever been to a loose rocker event.

WHEELSTAND CONTEST!
During the final round of Qualifying on Saturday, we will be judging a wheelstand contest. No, this isn't a 'go flip your car over backwards and crash it' kind of deal. Our Stock and Super Stock racers always put on a great show! We're just going to reward you for doing what you already do. Chris Hill of IHM Used Parts has stepped up to offer $100 to the Best Stock Wheelstand. You can often find useful S/SS information, photos, or videos on their site during events... oh, and quality used heavy equipment parts as well! Check them out at www.ihmusedparts.com

Hey Michael,
Thanks for your time and dedication to our sport. I believe this race will set the new standard for such an event. I do have a question for you tho concerning the Q32 race, after seeing how the FS cars owned the top half of the qualifying ladder at Indy. Should the Q32 really be called the FS32? LOL I'm just curious if any "real" stocker will be able to qualify with all the FS cars out there or are they going to be in a different class?

Sorry if you've already addressed this.

Why couldn't we have had this money put up at Bowling Green!?!? At least someone in our camp would have gotten paid!

Honest question: What would Indy qualifying have looked like without the "FS" classes? There will be no "Factory Stock" class like NHRA's shootout. The "new cars" will be in their own "FX" designated classes, using their regular NHRA indexes, HP, and weight breaks -- basically just separating them from 'traditional' Stockers. I'm trying not to get into too much micromanaging of what the sanctioning bodies should or should not be doing with HP factors. My hope is that some of the combinations that need hit will do so on their own, as has been happening, albeit slowly. (outside of the Factory Stock Shootout deal at Indy and ZMax... but that's a discussion for another thread) There are a lot of aardvarks (as Billy would say) that will come out of the woodwork to make this event interesting. At this stage of the game, we will let this first year play out, and then see where that takes us for 2015. We've pretty well established the program for 2014. That will give us a baseline.

How do you think that conversation got started while Chris and I were sitting in the stands? ;)
