That class was great in the first few years.
Any other old SSE photos to share?

I have a bunch from that track, but all similar quality b&w. A couple LO/BO cars, but mostly Camaros. I'll scan some and post.

Correct on AHRA track, I ran M and N/Stock Optional there.

I searched this thread and the only info I found was that the owner was Denny Kilbane, bought the Dart through his family's dealership, Kilbane Dodge in Strongsville, Ohio. Here is another picture that was posted with a different paint scheme.

"Do you own a BO29?

liteweight "

liteweight I am building a clone BO29, I have always wanted one of these legends and I am at a point in my life now where I can . I hope to be able to represent a day two version , with basically the only difference visually will be the car being painted . I plan on building a stroked 482 automatic car. I would really like to find the right hand side heater delete vent box, if anyone knows where I can find one.

So through a member here Davescuda he gave me a lead to a gentleman that may have original paperwork for a LO23 Hemi Dart. I gave him a call, his name is Roul McCole & purchased one of these cars new through Mr. Norms Grand Spalding Dodge. Turns out it was shipped to him by rail. He tells me he picked it up from the rail yards & drove it home, some 20 plus miles away. This car was known as "Denny's Dyno". He remembers selling it in the early 70's to a guy in New York by the name of Richard MacKay. Richard painted the car black. I asked Roul if he knew what became of the car, but he doesn't know. I then asked him if he still had paperwork for it, & he said no.
Cool guy in his early 80's that lives on a Mountain top in California. Enjoyed the short conversation with him, as because of his location, his cell reception was somewhat less than good.

That would be correct for the AHRA.

In January 1968, the AHRA established a 'Heads Up' Class for Super/Stock cars.
The pre-cursor for Pro/Stock

Which included 1967 and 1968 model years cars;
> 1967 Chevy II .......................... 427
> 1968 Nova ............................... 427
> 1967 and 1968 Camaro ........... 427
> 1967 and 1968 Chevelle .......... 427
> 1967 and 1968 Mustang .......... 427 Wedge
> 1967 Fairlane ........................... 427 Wedge
> 1967 Cyclone ........................... 427 Wedge
> 1968 Dart ................................. 426 Hemi
> 1968 Barracuda ....................... 426 Hemi
> 1968 Road Runner .................. 426 Hemi
> 1968 Charger .......................... 426 Hemi

* The conversion to any available factory engine was allowed.
* Installation of a Fresh-Air Scoop was permitted.

I'll bet most of the original LO and BO cars don't have that part on them anymore.
