Bob,

I'm not trying to make you look bad, but the facts are the facts. Despite what you read on the internet, there were only 50 2008 Cobra Jet Mustangs built and delivered. I believe all were delivered in 2009, despite the fact that they are ALL 2008 models. I've been to the plant and saw most of the cars in production. Additionally, there were two (2) graphics packages. You could order one with the big snake or without it. Most internet sites have it all wrong. It was about a $1,700 option so many came without it.

If you are so intent on believing that there are 100 cars, I suggest that you forget whatever contact you have and call Ford Racing directly. I am pretty tight with the project, and with the men who developed it. Most think the cars are '09s because Ford built and delivered them in '09, but they are all 2008 models to commemorate the '68 CJs and there are only 50, just like in '68.

I went back to Team Ford where I worked before I retired again, there was a factory rep there and with the General Sales manager we went to the internet and they proved it. Anyone can google 09mustangcobra jet and see for themselves!! Evan Smith said I was wrong, I don't come on here to post bulls---. ( The 09's even have different graphics)

Bob you couldn't be more wrong nor could your source. There are 50 2008 Cobra Jets. They were delivered in 2009, so that might be where your source is wrong. As for the next 50 they haven't been built yet. Also they will be a 2010 model year.

Evan once again is 100% correct.

*side note*
Evan will you be up to Michigan next week for the NMRA? If so, I'd like to meet you. I'll be running my #21 in Super Stang. If you are going to be around, look for a CJ with Varsity Ford on the side.

Could someone here please tell me the raceweight of these '08 CJ drag pack cars? Tasca Ford's car has been banging out consistent 9.90's up at New England Dragway in NH.....very impressive...just how light did they make these cars? Much thanks. WJ

AA/S or AA/SA = 7.5 lbs/hp x 425 rated HP + 170 lbs for driver = 3358 lbs. minimum weight
A/S or A/SA = 8.0 lbs/hp x 425 rated HP + 170 lbs for driver = 3570 lbs. minimum weight
