What's really interesting is that PRO has not been in on any discussions with NHRA concerning this---Most owners/members are against this debacle--NHRA has aparently donne this without consulting with the teams/owners/drivers---we shall see--

What's next? Rick Stewart wearing a big red nose and playing circus music on the starting line?

By racing the Pros (4) at a time, they are reducing the number of runs to cover on ESPN,so this should open up some time for coverage of Stock and Super Stock on prime time TV.

Drag racing should be 2 lanes, quarter mile PERIOD. Not 1/8 mile not 1000 feet.

Hasn't that been his routine all along, especially when the pro stocks are involved in a burndown?

I think what they need to do is run the fuel cars and the alcohol classes on one set. Then run pro stock and the sportsmen on the other. The lane prep needs are different for those classes. May be less work for the crew in the long run.

Byron Drag-way (Rockford IL.) did this (4 wide) back in the old, Gas, Coupe, and Sedan days(late 60's-early '70's)
