Well I went today, and Beard is dead-on!! Like I said earlier the facility had to overcome, what I'd consider, painful odds. This was a tightly run event, and I've never seen so many spectators there EVER!!!! If IHRA keeps up the pace, this is gonna get better!!!! And as long as NHRA craps on their workers, it ain't gonna get better there anytime soon.

Hats off to that IHRA staff!!!! Never have I seen a bunch of people work so hard at what they love to do.

MB, if you have another couple of pennies left, give the audience your assessment of the uninterrupted Sportsman program; any negatives from your perspective?

IHRA posts each Winner and R/U's contingency claims on their website. Takes a few days or a week after the event, but you can look up anything you want. I didn't tally it up exact, but it was $1,200 purse to win, plus 11 decals, most of which are $300/ea, a couple may be $200.

First, congrats to Scotty R. on his win against ANTHONY... :D

That said, IHRA is dead and I am sure the purse will get lowered. It is a shame but, we know it will happen with Scooter and Aaron still in charge! I really hate them! :eek:

Hopefully Mr. Feld will FIRE THEM! :cool:

Leaving car/ trailer in FL, driving home in the a.m. I'll take it easy when I get to the bad areas. I drive like a grandma. ;-)

place was packed and we even had a couple hour break when the sportsmen were done today. Congrats to all the winners and participants, I had a great time.

Gotta get up in a couple hours to go back to the track for an SFI course so I'm out.

FYI: The purse was paid as advertised, even with only 9 cars.

Have you noticed that the most of the "Naysayers" are those who dont race, are NHRA die hards, and ones who didnt bother to go in the first place ! Congrats Michael on your win.
