The 2010 Mustang with the 352 remains at 295 HP....what a joke! After running 10-teens in E/SA at Indy. Yes, it got "hit" afterwards, but not enough to make a "dent". Sorry, just venting my frustration.

Its really sad that the NHRA will not be pro active on this crap. They could fix the problem and complaining easy but they just turn a blind eye to the problem. In time some will just give up and return the cars to the street or try to sell out. A few will buy the new stuff if they can afford it and continue on. Then the NHRA will wonder where all the race cars and members have dissapeared to. The ones who will stay with the older combos will just hope they dont have a heads up run with one of these under rated combos during the eliminator. Class dosent pay anything much anyway so qualifyng will be the other issue of concern when and if they have more than 128 cars such as Indy. We will all be dead or to old to care anymore when the AHFS catches up.

The Drag Pak 392 is rated at 375HP. Maybe they should put an SRT8 motor in them... :p

Re: new hp

Daran the Impala/Bel-air/Biscayne are Big Cars, Chevelle/Malibu are Full Size. The Johnsons went fast 4-5 years ago and that was a nice 140 lbs hit. I have been through this a few times and there's just not enough Big Cars to bring the average down. The first time I made a request 3 yrs ago I was told point blank that the Big Car would NEVER get power back regardless of e-mails or phone calls or reviews. So with that being said, we will have to run the Full Size cars with the same combonation @ 165 lbs more, and that seems fair because of the aerodynamic advantage we have with the four door!

RE: The 392/375. It is a 6.1 with a stroker with 2.1 less compression. For you Beard since you can't add, that's 370 cid to 392. The less compression is when you lose the dome on the piston. There are 56,743 gurus that have an opinion on what 2 pts of compression are worth. And most of them are on this forum. Your turn. Be sure to break it out into those cute little gray paragraphs that you do so well. Old guy. Eyes a little weak.

Just like Sergeant Friday!! Just the facts! Fact 1. Yes the 392 DP engine is under rated. The street version makes 452 at the rear tires. NHRA rated at 375HP. What a joke. Now for comparison. Fact 2. The Camaro made 370 at the rear tire. NHRA rated 426 HP. I wonder which one is soft? Any ideas???

The new Camaro is rated honestly. Would not make a good race car with those numbers, would it? Lol
That DP would be like 520 at the flywheel. Can you say bogus? Sad deal.
