I suspect that an alternative to a diapers is a belly pan-that's what we have on our comp cars-would that work for some of you who would have trouble fitting in a diaper?

In defense of the tracks, somethings, like the Great Green Pollen Attack of 2010 couldn't be helped.Joe Sway and crew and the Div 1 crew did their usual great job of getting us racing again as soon as safely possible.

Never saw so much pollen in one place Lol

I do believe there are other tracks with the same problem that we (racers) were assured are fixed.

I believe that Warren Johnson made light of the weepers on national tv not too long ago. I guess someone was absent from class when they discussed the law of physics when they designed that track. Warren noted the point the land of part of the track was higher than the track surface. Physics dictates water runs down hill.

While on subject, maybe we should discuss the odds of accidents because of poor track conditions vs accidents from engine failure.

Of course, this would most likely be the same odds of accidents relating to no diaper vs falling out of a treestand during deer season. Maybe NHRA will require any member using a treestand over 8 feet off the ground require a parachute?

For what it's worth, at the same meeting we where told they are addressing the problem as soon as the weather breaks, which explains the late opening this year. Lex said they have been working with some civil engineers, have taken core samples and have a new plan of attack. They will be removing the walls and drilling in from the side to get to the pockets of water. If I recall correctly, new asphalt, resurfaceing and grinding are also in the plan. I don't want to be a spokesman for the track but this is what was dicussed at the racers meeting last Saturday.

Well it's a good thing those guys are civil engineers and not uncivil engineers! At least they have good attitudes! Lex is a good man. Jim
