What a difference a day makes - this afternoon was brite and sunny with the place drying out fast .By tomorrow morning you won't know that it even rained at all .
Stock and S/S got their qualifing runs in this afternoon - the place was anything but fast but what would you expect with a 29.10 barometer and plenty of humidity . If you haven't showed up yet there is still time as we'll continue tomorrow in the AM .Fields are a little thin except for Stock with a whopping 105 cars with a few more expected tonight and in the AM . Later ........ |

Bo glad to see you stayed. Number one in SS hope you are a little bit happier. Lebanon really tries harder than most tracks we go to to get rid of the water in the pits when it rains this much. All day long they were sucking up any water from the pits they could with there sucktion truck. Like Dave said there is not much any track could do when you get this much rain in such a short time. This place drys out real fast also. It is one of my favorite tracks. Barry

That is Fast Freddy Perkins' 57 Chevy, beautiful car, and should be fast as soon as he gets it squared away.

Almost forgot - the management here at Lebanon Valley provided all entrants with a usefull goodie bag .......most tracks don't seem to care .Lists of business we might need in the area - small notebook with a pen attached - mints ? don't know why we need them but they're good .and plenty of garbage bags ..........a nice touch for sure .

Good morning - And welcome to day 2 .Today is going to be a late start as a thick fog rolled in during the night and will certainly take a few hours this morning to burn off .Here are the numbers this AM - 53 degrees with 74% humidity , barometer 29.26 and climbing with 48 grains of water and .31 vapor pressure .Wet ?.....you bet it is .Good news is its not raining .Oh , and the final DA is just over 1,000 ft at this time .
Back later - gotta go have some 'Special K' .......... |

Talk about painting yourself into a corner - this racer somehow got this far into the pits with that long rig but he can't make this left turn and is going to have a long ,long back-up .......all this outside my window .Can you tell its a slow news weekend ?

Re: Live from Lebanon Valley - NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Jack...any indication that they might want to try running an extra round TODAY to
speed up the event....especially the bigger fields? Looks like trouble for Sunday afternoon...according to the weather gurus.... BTW...Happy Fathers Day...to ALL you Dad's out there...and good luck with the race!!!!! |
