I know I'll sound mean, but I'm not losing a wink of sleep over this, I could care less honestly, oh well.

I'm amazed that it lasted as long as it did.

Re: Al-Anabi leaving racing
Sad to see any sponsor leave the sport.
My perspective of Al Anabi story told by Kenny Nowling on dro. Kenny reminds me of bernie madoff, tried to do good in the begining with ADRL but it fell apart and is trying to blame someone else. If you were the sheiks father and read this story, what would you do, I can tell you, I would pull all funding because of being associated with this guy Kenny Nowling and anything associated with NHRA, Qatar does not need the bad press. I believe there are 3 sides to this story, Sheiks, Kenny;s and the truth which we will never know. PS keep in mind Kenny has been convicted of Money related Crimes before. |

Likewise, but is association with shady or questionable characters worth the bad ink? I think as a sport, we try to present it as a wholesome, family activity. Remember that other companies and organizations may be looking to get involved also. I expect that decision makers look at who else is involved to avoid the appearance of associating with undesirable entities and people, i.e. National Guard bailing on ADRL. |
Re: Al-Anabi leaving racing
Remember one thing fellas. Fesces rolls downhill. Once the big three ain't got enough cars to make a show guess what? No more national events. If you are a guy w a 30 -150k stk or ss car you should be petrified right now especially if you are one of the diehards who abhor bracket racing because if the nats go away all you have left are 4-6 div events where you can win 1-2k(correct me if I am wrong) unless you are one of the big money traveling types. There is already talk of absorbing pro stock into promod. This isn't a good sign😩
