It was reported 44 quarts (11 gallons) of engine oil went on the track....wow

I'm surprised no one mentioned it earlier, but there was a massive number of "invitations" delivered to racers for drug and alcohol testing. Terry had told me it was probably 50 people, but the one lady that was passing them out said it was 150. Almost a third of the field?

Sounds very very random to me.... ;-) Must be the left over screening kits from Glendora's corporate Compton going away party.

Also, sounds just like NHRA to use only "one" lady to pass out 150 invitations.. Wonder how long that took?

Is that the same one that lubricated the track at Joliet a few years Ago? That was the worst I had seen? I remember getting an oildown ticket for a small dribble of gear lube on the shoulder of the track one year! Guess I don't feel so bad about that now. Hope they require a better oil retention system for something like that! Expecting a regular diaper to hold 11 gallons of oil is like putting pampers on an elephant.

I don't know if it was the same one as Joliet, but the diesel dragster at Joliet had the oil pan expanded so much that it was dragging the ground. They had to get a floor jack and raise the dragster, then pound the oil pan back in, so they could pull it down the return road. That oil down also took quite a while to cleanup.

Sounds like Denver last year. Three pages of participants in the UA test.

Dang,, James, that's quite a picture you just painted,,LOL!
I have my opinion on running diesels at national events,, non diesel events that is,, but I don't want to step on any toes here. Mainly, if its happened before in the past, something should be done to make sure it doesn't re-occur. My 2 cents.

You were told while waiting to get parked, before you ever unload the car.
