What a difference an hour makes - the Sun is trying to peak out and the dew is an inch thick so it will be sometime before it burns off .............

While strolling thru the lanes yesterday I was reminded of a time many from Division 1 will remember - right from the seventies and Raceway Park in New Jersey .Anyone know what became of Ed Hamburger and his company ? ? ?

We still have his oil pan on the super stocker.

Believe SLP was acquired by Roush.

From what I heard and I live 5 mins from SLP in tomsriver part of the company was sold to roush part they still own. I think Ed lives in colorado.

I did a lot of towing work for slp when the new camaros came out. they sold off the parts dep to roush a few years ago. i went by last week and looked like the sign was down

STK Alli Smyth vs Anthony Fetch in the final, Bob Vogel was in the semis

Love your idea of doing your own "Featured Flyers" coverage. My buddy, Evan Smith, doesn't believe me when I told him many years ago, I wrote a letter to NHRA suggesting a column that highlighted sportsman racers across the country who might not make the National Dragster every other week like some do. About 6 months later the Featured Flyers Column was started in National Dragster and has progressively gotten better. Of course I did not get any credit for my suggestion from NHRA, but that's ok. I know it was MY idea! That Road Runner you covered was an excellent "kick off" subject!! Don't know how you manage to race and do your coverage for the guys at home, but thanks.
