I made a hotel reservation for this race....but ONLY because they would allow cancellation up to Sept 6.

I have been burned before by this No Cancellation policy at a racetrack and I will not be burned again. I will wait until I see the temps come down to something a fat guy can endure!

Same here Mark on the room. I'm fine for a senior citizen big guy up to about 95 degrees with the 3 layer pants and jacket. After that I become the WICKED witch of the west.

Just and FYI for those considering attending the PHX double div races. You will be able to purchase tickets at the gate. That was confirmed with Mike Rice as of yesterday. The schedule shows a break in the day from 2pm-6pm then we race into the night. Night racing in the desert is great in my opinion. Hope to see many of you there!

A couple weeks back when I showed up at Heartland Motorsports Park unannounced, they handed me a url address on my receipt that I entered into my cell phone to complete. I was somewhat apprehensive as I normally do this from a desktop, however it proved to be just as easy from the phone. Don't really know if that's Mike's plan but if so it really was no big sweat...

I see Las Vegas National hasn't lost any luster. Stock filled with 8 grade points. There sure isn't a bad pit spot. Weather is normally good and there isn't a problem with a curfew. You get an air show every day from Nellis air force base. Las Vegas Raiders are off this weekend too.

I was told by Mike Rice when you pay at the gate. They will give you a link for your phone or laptop to fill out a tech card. Personally I can barely answer it if my phone rings.
