Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
A real quick note about Buybacks at the .90 Nationals! I've decided due to the time allotted for the race and possible high-roller race that their will be NO BUYBACKS at the .90 Nationals. This is a 1 day race so we need to keep things rolling and trying to get everyone together who wants to buyback will be just a mess to re-ladder everyone. Next year if we decide to do this race we may take thing into thought but, lets get though year # 1.

Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway

Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Well we are getting closer and closer to the August 27th date for the .90 Nationals, I hope everyone is getting excited and pumped up for this race. Pre-Entries are coming in at about 2 to 3 each a week (I'm not complaining and happy people are supporting this race). A few quick things to add and then unless something comes up in the next 5 weeks or so I will not be posting much till then.
If you come in on Thursday night their will be No Tech that night, we just want to get you parked and settled in. More or less the DiMino family will be getting you into the track that night, I'll be up bright and early Friday Morning unless something changes in my work schedule (About 6am or so). If you came in on Thursday night just stop down at the ticket booth on Friday morning to get your tech card and pay if you didn't pre-enter. Also if I didn't mention it already if you pre-enter and something comes up (You Break something before the race, Family event, Etc) You have until 12PM ON FRIDAY afternoon to back out of the event and you will get your full pre-entry money back in a few days but, YOU MUST CALL ME ON MY PHONE, IF I DON'T HEAR FROM YOU AND YOU DON'T SHOW UP YOU WILL NOT BE ISSUED A RE-FUND SO CALL ME, I'M A VERY UNDERSTANDING PERSON CAUSE I'VE BEEN THERE! Anyone who is not racing and maybe coming up to watch, hang out, etc and would like to help me out please e-mail me. I have a few people who have offered to help out in some area's but, I could use help in any area's possible. The Numidia Staff will be helping out in a lot of area's but, anything extra would be nice. Last but, not least since the pre-entry date ends today, I will be doing a special pre-entry for anyone who would like to enter at the Atco Divisional Race August 5th to 7th. The Pre-Entry amount will be $185.00 for THAT WEEKEND ONLY! So stop on by if you would like to take advantage of this special offer. Thanks, Rob K. Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
As announced on here about 5 months ago that our great friend, all around great guy and cook at the MASGA, Divisional Races Uncle Buck was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in April. Buck is doing very, very good in his fight with this nasty cancer that is detected all to late in most people.
For the .90 Nationals I've ordered about 150 event t-shirts that will be sold on Saturday (Red w Black Print)....would have done more but, it's what the Credit Card would allow me to do...haha! Just to let everyone know that every shirt that is sold at the .90 Nationals a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the fight against pancreatic cancer. Each shirt will be sold for $12.00. The shirt stand will be set up by the staging lanes. We will also have a small jug placed there for anyone who would like to donate a few extra dollars here and there towards the final total that I will present to the Donhauser's at the MASGA Race on September 17th & 18th. Please help out in anyway you feel possible and thanks for your support and I hope to see all 150 shirts get sold in minutes! Rob Keister |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Hey Rob,
I would like 2 but wont be able to attend, can i still purchase them ? Understand either way, Thanks Jon Lensch |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Jon,
I sent you a PM. Even with the threat of Hurricane Irene hitting the Carolina's on Saturday is looks like Friday and Saturday will be a clear day in the Numidia Area. Sunday is another story but, most of us will be either on the way home or on the way to Indy so unless the storm makes a major turn or picks up major steam the .90 Nationals are still on. If something changes in the next few days please keep an eye on ClassRacer.com or Facebook.com for updates. http://www.accuweather.com/us/pa/num...t-weekends.asp Rob K. |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
A decision will be made by 8am Friday morning as to weather the .90 Nationals will be on or not. I'm meeting with Bob tonight and we are going to look at other options and dates to hold the event if possible. As always please keep a look out on Classracer.com, Facebook.com or you can always shoot me a text or phone call at 856-332-2851 or e-mail me at ReKeister@aol.com.
Thanks for all your support! Rob K. |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Due to Hurricane Irene impacting the East Coast the decision was made on late Thursday night to delay the .90 Nationals till October 8th. Track Officials and Race promoter Rob Keister felt it was in the best interest for racers and their families to stay at home and not travel in the impending conditions that the Hurricane would produce.
Parking will start on Thursday, October 6th from 5pm till 10pm for the racers who would like to get set-up early. On Friday, October 7th the gates will once again open at 8am with a FREE Track operated Test & Tune from 12 to 5pm. Gates will remain open till 10pm on Friday before re-opening at 8am on Saturday, October 8th. Time runs will begin at 9am with Super Street, Super Comp & conclude with Super Gas. Tech will close down for the .90 Nationals at 10am on Saturday so it is advised to get their on Friday. Every Driver will get 2 time runs before going into eliminations which will be random pairs for 1st round only. Each class will pay $5,000 plus contingency out to the winners of each class. Drivers are also allowed to enter more than one class but, no dragsters will be allowed in Super Gas or Street. As an added bonus Numidia Dragway will be offering a $10,000 to win electronics bracket race & a $2,500 to win footbrake race on Saturday. On Sunday, October 9th for those who want to stick around Numidia will be offering another big dollar bracket race with the winner taking home $5,000 in electronics and $5,000 in the footbrake class. For information on the .90 Nationals please e-mail Rob Keister @ ReKeister@aol.com or you can call him at 1-856-332-2851. The .90 Nationals can also be found on Facebook.com, Classracer.com, www.dot90nationals.com or www. numidiadragway.com. |

Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
I talked to track owner Bob Dimino yesterday and he told me anyone who is attending the Keystone Nationals in 2 weeks and lives up North and out West (NY, OHIO, CONN, MASS, CANADA). If you happen to lose early at the event and instead of dragging everything back home only to drag it back to Numidia the following weekend Bob said you can drive your rigs up to Numidia that weekend (Sept 29th-Oct 1st) and leave them at the track. He has someone at the track all week checking on things to make sure we don't have any issues. All he asks is that when you arrive you tell the gate attendant that you are parking for the .90 Nationals and he will let you in. It's just another thing we are adding to the mix to put a few extra dollars into the racers pockets by not having to burn up extra fuel.

Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Rob!!!
You cannot catch a break at all.. Mother nature putting a damper on both dates!!!!!! |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Well I've just got in from the airport and did A LOT of thinking on the ride home and talking to a few racers that are at the track....oops I mean VF Outlet Parking Lot and some of them asked me to put a vote up to see what racers would go to Maple Grove or My Race Next weekend. To me it's a no-brainer as I'm just a small person in a big field and no way I can even think about competing with an NHRA Event especially since all of you have already paid the $305 dollar entry fee. I think I have a lot of people behind me but, I don;t know if it justifies me losing my ***** on this race by having 60 cars show up. To be honest their is no other options to fit it in this year, the Dutch is the following weekend and yes Numidia does have one more weekend of racing following that but, let's be honest it's going to be cold and most of you have already packed it in for the season. We also have the option to run it the Sunday (RAIN DATE) of the Keystones but, then again we have to cross our fingers and hope they get the event in. To Me I'm leaning towards starting fresh in 2012 and storming over something so big that it would make history for .90 Racers but, you are more then free to comment on here and give me your thoughts...

Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Rob, this is going to be a tough decision to make no matter what you decide some people will not agree with it,,,, I for one will be going to Silver Dollar then to bring my stuff to Florida for winter I will not be bringing rig back till sometime in April... No matter what happens I applaude you for your efforts...............
|
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Rob, I feel for ya brother...
But you're right, there is much left if the way of options....and with the Nats being next weekend you;re sure to lose alot of racers.... Ah well, I got a new ride anyhow...S/ST'r....make it early next year and we'll go get sum.... |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Good Morning Fellow Racers,
Well once again I am the barer of bad news. Due to the great communication of the NHRA crew and having most of you drag everything to Maple Grove…opps I mean the VF Outlet Parking Lots this past week only for them to tell you that you will not race this week and must wait till the weekend of Oct 7th & 8th I must once again reschedule the .90 Nationals. For some of you this is a great relief as some of you were not able to make the rescheduled date of October 8th. Now as I’ve posted online I’m only a small fish in a very big pond and no matter what I decide to do next weekend I personally cannot compete against NHRA. Some of you asked to keep the race as is and try to run up against the Keystones but, I think that would be public suicide for me to even attempt and I think I would have supporters but, more or less I would have lost my *** on this race. The next option thrown out there was to have the event on the Sunday, October 9th (The Rain date of the Keystones) but, as we can see already with my track record I’m 0-2 against Mother Nature so I won’t attempt to do it that day only to have the possibility of a rain-out on Saturday and the Keystones be moved to Sunday. The following weekend is the Dutch and the Virginia IHRA Event so I won’t attempt to put you guys up against that event because I know a lot of you enjoy the Dutch Classic. Now Numidia does have 1 more weekend of racing left on the 21st to 23rd before they close up shop for the winter time. The only concern I have with that is the weather because it’s going to be highs of low 60’s / mid-50’s and most of you have already bagged in the season after the Keystones & Dutch. So that leads me to my decision and it’s a tough one to make but, the .90 Nationals will be rescheduled once again until 2012. Now I don’t have a date as of yet due to the divisional schedules not being released but, I’m going to shoot for somewhere in Early May / June depending on what things get scheduled in NHRA Land along with MASGA & MASCA Races. This way Knoebels Park is open for everyone and their family’s. I also will be able to get with Bob and put together a huge race for all the .90 Racers and if Lee & Brian are up for it we can throw in the Stk / SS Guys also. If you would like your money back if you pre-paid already please let me know and I will send you out a check with the refund. If not the money will still be good for the 2012 race. I thank you for all the support in this race and I hope we can kick things off in style in 2012. Look for updates soon and see most of you at Maple Grove next weekend and at the Dutch. If you see someone that was planning on coming to the event and is not great with their computer please pass the word to them!!!! Thanks as always! Rob Keister 856-332-2851 |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Rob,
Great job in being persistant and trying your utmost best to get the race in this year.. I know when you do, it will be one for the books...I'm be there in 2012. CYA at the Dutch.. Derek |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Hey Rob,
You have made a very sound and wise decision.. we all appreciate your hard work, but nothing could justify you taking a financial hit in this economy.. The 2012 .90's Nationals will be a great event, I just know it.. you can now take a little time to do the fine tuning you were thinking about.. Numidia is a great facility and the turn-out will be great.. HELL, I'll even come.. |
Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Agree with you guys - Rob is a die hard and it is not worth him losing his shirt on this. Like Charlie, Hell - we will even show up!

Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Anyone wishing to buy a .90 Nationals T-Shirt this weekend at the Dutch Classic they will be available at my trailer from Friday till Sunday. I have all the sizes from Small to 2XL. They are $12.00 a piece and 25% of the shirt sales will go towards fighting pancreatic cancer! So stop on buy and grab a t-shirt and support a good cause.

Re: .90 Nationals @ Numidia Dragway
Just to let everyone know that I didn't forget about you guys out there... I'm currently working on setting up a date for the 2012 .90 Nationals Version. Still awaiting the IHRA Schedule to be announced so I don't schedule something on top of one of those races but, right now I'm shooting for something around either June 9th or June 16th. April is a little too early and May is jammed packed with the Atco Open, Mothers Day, Association Races & Maple Grove Divisional. The rest of the months are kind of stacked together with races and even if their is not a D-1 Race Scheduled there is either a National Event or Divisional Race close by. I will keep everyone informed shortly and should have a date by the first of the year.

.90 Nationals @ Numidia - June 9th, 2012
I am pleased to announce that the 2012 .90 Nationals will be held on June 9th, 2012 at Numidia Dragway. Once again we will do the free test & tune on Friday June 8th, 2012 from 12 to 5pm. Also if their is enough interest we will try to throw together a high-roller race on Friday night for a small entry fee for all 3 classes. We will also be throwing together the racers BBQ on Saturday Night for all racers & crew to attend to be prepared by Uncle Buck. We are still working out a race for Sunday or we may just leave that as a travel day for most of you. Entry fee's will be adjusted just a bit for the event as the $155.00 entry fee is already completed but, the $170 entry fee will re-open today till May 6th. Remember by pre-entering by the May 6th date you get entered into the raffle for some cool prizes (GC Towards a Brodix Block, Accelerated Travel G.C., Buy 1 Get 1 from Hoosier Tires, Etc) The entry fee from May 7th till the gate opening will be $190.00 (It's $10.00 cheaper then the 2011 rate). As always the purse to win will be $5,000 to win in each class plus contingency certificates from sponsors. I'm also working to combine this race with the Combo in the Hills Stk/SS Race for some of you that might have a Stk/SS & .90 Car. We are trying to put together a sportsman race that everyone will be talking for a long time. So mark the calenders and put that personal time in at work....the .90 Nationals are here!!!
