Clint, It could be a misprint, the 2009 part. The 2010 DrakPaks can get to A with a 6.4 (392), it breaks at 7.51. One hp hit, and it will be AA-BB-CC only. 2010 5.7 can make A also. 2009, no DP's can make A/SA (just A/S).

We lost class, but hopefully at -.84 under we are in the "Big Show"! But lots of people picked up this morning. Lots of red lights and some no-shows for class.

B/SA looks like the most competitive class, tons of guys are flying!

C/SA has a bunch of cars close together too

Todd, according to Drag Race Central during Stock C-2:

Weather conditions: air temperature 80 degrees, relative humidity 48 percent, barometer 29.19 inches, adjusted altitude 2,868 feet, track temperature 92 degrees.

Usually it's not 100% accurate according to racers' weather stations, but should be in the ballpark.

Hurricane Isaac forecast is for it to bring rain to Indy for the entire weekend.

They just announced that stock will run Round # 1 at10:00 tomorrow instead of Saturday. They have a few cars in teardown now. I will go down and get some pics.

By the time I heard about teardown and went down there, there were only 2 cars left. Pendarvis and Cour. Everyone passed. I heard that Beach and Fisher had been there also. Checking carbs, and had to take off valve covers for a look. Also heard driveshafts were checked. More if I hear any more details.

Thanks Patsy for all that you do

NHRA is obviously scrambling to get as much done as possible with the weather approaching. I am sure that is why they have an abrieviated teardown. Smart move in my mind. Get some rounds in, many travel a long way to this event and 1 less TT and less teardown would be ok with me with this weather situation.

It does make sense to try to get as much racing in as possible before the rain comes, but I just hope it doesn't set a precedent for the future. Indy is already about the only place teardowns happen except for records anymore.

With all the hoopla of new car stuff let us not forget all about old iron ........R/S ? ? Are you kidding me .............This is Tim Weinzapfels' 66 Bel Air wagon who qualified # 48 @ 13 flat . Be proud Tim .........and I'm sure the photogs loved it .That sure is a lot of transfer for a little 283 CID ..........

That looks like it is a crank trigger wheel that goes between crank and flywheel for the speed sensor

Cool idea on racing on a budget. Only problem here in Iowa..........those are all RUST BUCKETS and very rare to find a nice one to start with.

Looks a lot like an ABS wheel-ring, but when did the DP's go to a 6-lug axle? I think Ron is correct.
