Well, Mrs. Patsy, we were glad to accommodate y'all. Hope y'all get the "evening shade" at Indy. There were a lot of drivers giving the track all they had. I was just glad that it took everything that was thrown at it. The starting line had no complaints, but I was too occupied on the tractor after the trash crew failed to show up on Saturday. Thank y'all for coming, and I hope to see all of y'all next spring.

Am I the only one to notice that the 305/160 hp is not available in full size chevys ,yet received a 8hp hit after Bella Rose. The way I see it there will be another correction coming. Rick.

and if you look it up in the guide, you'll find that they only gave the Monte Carlo the HP. The Malibu isn't changed!
Also, they changed the Grand Prix but not the LeMans and they didn't change any of the Buick Centurys or Regals and Cutlasses.

I am looking to get in contact with the lady who was selling the event pictures to the racer she had taken of their cars. I would like to get another and the frame does not have any contact info on it. Any help?? :confused:

Traction is amazing at all Div 4 races. We have the best track prep guys around. I didn't know I needed my car back halved until I started racing out of division 4.

Greg - I miss my friends on the tour, but I don't miss the national events at all. Enjoying retired life more than I ever thought possible. Spending time with my wife. Going to races that are fun.

Well I must say I had a blast even though I screwed up and red lit (guess I was a little too exited with my new horsepower lol) Mr. Clegg my opponent is a gentleman and I am happy I had a chance to meet him. I also want to extend my gratitude and appreciation for the time Charlie Wescott Jr. took out of his busy schedule to come help me with my carburetor problem so I could get back out there and make some successful runs so thank you again Charlie. I also want to thank Steve Kent and his crew for their hospitality and company, I also had the opportunity to meet Allen Sherman, his dad, Mr. Christen and Darrin who are two of the nicest people you will meet I wish them all the success in Super Stock!! Robbie and Kevin what can I say you guys once again worked hard, Robbie drove his butt off and the end result is an important class win to start yet another year towards the "automatic class" championship so go get it boyz!! We will see you all in Charlotte and in Columbus can't wait to get back out there and row some gears:)

Jim,, I sure hope you can load that car up and bring it to Columbus for the Northern Classnationals. I'm bringing a buddy of mine who used to take a lot of pics of your Chevy II at Seattle 40 years ago. He'd be tickled to see it again, as would I. Take care.

NHRA Tech Department makes corrections to the Stock Car Classification Guide
The NHRA Technical Department recently made changes to the 1979 Chevrolet and Pontiac class guide, due to a typo.

1979 GM 305 155-160/235 change to 305 155-160/235 Stock Eliminator

1979 Chev Malibu 2Dr 160/235 change to 305 160/243 Stock Eliminator
