Re: Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals II

We will have the Loose Rocker Cooling Station in the staging lanes... 10'x'10' canopy with a couple of giant coolers stocked with bottled water! We'll take care of you. :)

Might not be that bad... it's typically low 80's that weekend. Any bit of breeze or a little cloud cover should make it a pretty nice weekend for racing. It was surprisingly nice in Michigan this weekend. High of 81, but it barely hit that. (And before we even get to that point, don't even bother with long-range forecasts, because they are complete garbage. They don't even start to come close until about 3 days out.)

As racers, we know that there's only one winner in your class. Sometimes you lay down an incredible run and somehow you managed to line up with that one guy that was able to get inside that package. This year, while we still have contingency postings and bonuses available to our finalists, we're going to spread things around a little bit and take a cue from our big money bracket races with Best Losing Package Round Prizes. We did one last year, with Bill Bagley of Bagley Tractor & Equipment in Longview, Texas awarding an incredible Honda generator to John Dinkel, who had the best losing package of Rnd 2 in Stock. You couldn't wipe the grin off his face: "I've never won so much for losing!" I saw John at US131 this weekend, and he said he's been making good use of it, and not just at the race track.

With help from our great sponsors, there will be more opportunities to win great prizes without winning the entire event. Among them are:

http://looserocker.com/wp-content/up...y_thompson.jpg
Mickey Thompson Tires continues its long tradition of supporting Loose Rocker Promotions customers with several $250 Gift Certificates.

https://scontent-atl1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...21&oe=563C9DAE
Tom Russell of Russell Performance in East Sparta, OH will be posting multiple awards: $100 cash prizes in both Stock and Super Stock, and $150 Russell Performance Gift Certificates in both classes as well. You can make good use of these, as Russell literally does just about everything: he did the rear disc brake swap on my car, and when I broke a u-joint, he quickly replaced or fixed every bit of collateral damage -- u-joint, driveshaft, 4-link diagonal bar, sprag in the trans... one-stop shopping! Russell has also built over 20 complete race cars. Give him a holler and see what he can do for you!

I was out at the track for the Mopar Nats this last weekend. Gathering parts for my TA Challenger future C,D/S. It was hot and humid. But my sunburn should be better in 2 weeks and I will be back at the track. Can't wait. This drag racing is an incurable disease. I should have never gone to Pomona or Mopars at the Strip.

Gate A, now pay attention as it is real easy to miss it, of your going west on 40, its right after the little camp ground entrance.

I was looking at your site for the requirements to be eligible for Hoosier's Contingency.
Does it require their decal?
Do all 4 tires need to be Hoosiers ?
Or just the rears ?

Re: Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals II

Thanks y'all for answering questions in my absence. Loose Rocker has two events back-to-back. I just got home from Virginia Motorsports Park, where our incredible racers broke every record, topping out at 416 entries for Saturday's $10K Main Event! My wife gave me her old Fitbit (wristband that tracks steps), and I walked just under 28 miles in three days, mostly between the tower and the rear of staging! LOL You can watch the archived footage that was captured live by MotorManiaTV at http://livestream.com/MotorManiaTV/2015ColonialClassic History was made, with Nick Bowman capturing the Summit FAT $5K Warmup on Friday, winning again in the ATI $10K Main Event on Saturday, and making it to his third straight final in Sunday's Abruzzi FAT $5K Finale, but fell to a red-light vs Devin Dudley. For more results and pics, LIKE our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LooseRocker

My partner Anthony Walton and I are exhausted, but we have a couple of days to recuperate, and we're looking forward to bringing you the 2nd Annual Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals!

I am very much looking forward to announcing this race, I am a HUGE fan of Stock and Super Stock. I was on the mic for around 40 hours this past weekend at the Loose Rocker Colonial Classic in Virginia, and I should be recovered and in full voice this weekend! Come say "hi" to me, I'll try to get in the pits and check out everything if I have a chance.

I will have on a white hat and a red Bob Mazzolini racing shirt. Say hi.

We have a tough schedule here in Div 2. most of our races are back to back early in the year. I ran 5 races in 7 weeks. We are pretty much done with the first part of our season before yours gets started. One minor problem with the car or equipment and you miss several races. Happens to some each year. I think you were looking at either Atlanta or Montgomery. Neither are very popular venues historicaly. Especially in the heat. Our division director is not the best and could do some changes to the schedule to improve the car counts. I would bet that a Southern class nationals would attract a pretty good count in the south if scheduled properly. Like I said I was just hoping.

Guys just a heads up to everybody coming, please try to make sure your class is clearly printed on your tech card as myself and the staff are going to try to have class ladders made up and want to make sure everyone is in the right class.

Also...........if you go through tech and Do Not make a hit before class (1st round of qualifying) you will be put at the bottom of the sheet at 28.000.

(I'm thinking out loud and typing, might have more later, lol)

Yup, Weather Underground keeps revising the high temps cooler as well: just like the Weather Channel data you posted above: 77, 80, 84, and with a bit of a breeze on tap, it's going to be GORGEOUS. Gotta look at the hourly forecasts, too! At 9AM each day, it's going to be 61, 61, and 64! You could not ask for a better August forecast for racing!

Speaking of 9AM, just like last year, set your Stocker Alarms for early and plan to have them warmed up and ready to go. We will make the call for Stock at 8:40, and "9AM start" means two in the puddle doing burnouts at 9AM sharp! Run order all weekend: Stock, Super Stock, Nostalgia/SS.

Reminder: Rob Jackson from Robzneed4speed Videos will be providing the race coverage for the Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals this year. Look him up on Facebook, and check out his channel on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChM...nk9JtChdhnf3cw

I don't think you're crazy, Gary. 3 of us flew out from Seattle last year for the inaugural blast and had a ball. Make sure you're there when the gates open each day,,, lots of hand shaking and greeting to do before they call the cars up! Take lots of photos and video,,, we still look at ours all the time. You'll enjoy this event,,, make sure you say hello to the 'ol gal at the finish line store too.
