You haters do realize they are racing in a controlled environment, not on open public streets, don't you? Yes they play like they are doing something wrong but everyone should know by now what is really going on. Do you really think law enforcement would allow this to continue if it was really "illegal street racing"?

He's taking advantage of a situation he has been put in with the TV deal. He'd be a fool not to take advantage of his 15 minutes of fame.

Most do not know Chief and the entire crew of Street Outlaws has been part of the original Pinks All Out Program.
So they earned their notoriety.

It woke up the public to all the hot rodding going on.
Woke up everyone with an opinion.
Street Racing started before any of us were born.

It did what NHRA and IHRA could not do and our racing passion will benefit from it.

He at least had the balls to put up what he build up against the pros.
In fact did not doo too bad.

Wish Chief well !!

All of these same comments were made a few years ago about how Pinks was going to revolutionize the sport, it is now forgotten, not even a good trivia question. This is all about the television fifteen minutes of fame. Maybe drag racing is on its way to a slow death, but this sure isn't the solution to our problems.

Shows up w a dually and a car trailer, not a city. Wayy cool!!!!

Anyone see qualify show? Watching now and Leah Pritchett faced off with Papa John the pizza man on a head up drag race at Indy. Pair of camaros. All for charity. This is all good to get people out of the stands and on track I think.
Heck, I rented a uhaul car trailer to attach to my truck to yellowbullet Nats.
But got there.
Gotta start somewhere.......

Go ahead and google me......contrary to you, i don't have a laundry list of complaints against me. You will find that i am a grandfather of 10 wonderful children with the oldest in the navy. I am a drafted, disabled, combat veteran, i managed and retired from a fortune 500 company after nearly 40 years, and i have never been arrested. But, i have had tickets 50 some years ago for reckless driving....their were no drag racing laws then. Having the fastest car in town was a big deal then.

So bruce, take your hate and move on.

We started with a 1/2 ton pickup and a tow bar a very long time ago.

As a way to support my racing addiction I made and sold tow hubs....

There is a generation out there that has no idea of what I am talking about....

A friend made me a set of towing hubs from some broken axles I had a few of before Henry's Machine started making axles for my '56 Chevy Jr Stocker. Those and '56 Chevy front hubs, and stock '56 front tires & wheels. Those and, after I learned longer tow bars (my last one was 6' long) towed smoother, and ten degrees positive caster made me able to back it up like a trailer. Went down the highway smoother than my first trailer. Other than putting that stuff on & off, it towed nicer than the trailer. Wasn't a bad deal.

And if you were from out of state a "very serious racer" to travel that far

Ed,

I still have a set of Henry's axels with a MOPAR inner spline and MOPAR side gears in the posi unit that's in my 1962 Corvette with the stock housing the way it was back in the day.....

The Corvette restoration will happen after I stop racing..

Funny this should come up. I've been thinking about cleaning mine up and towing to Bowling Green next year for the Hot Rod Reunion...I think many would get a kick out of seeing that again after all these years. :)

Back then it paid about the same as it does now. We made more money at local tracks that ran NHRA And AHRA style class racing. It was fun cheap and we even had a few profitable years.

Since it's been 26 yrs. since I bought my trailer, , and the only reason was for quicker get aways from the track when it rained in Fla., I remember I made the access hole in my NMW hubs a little bigger so my drilled down 4-way bar would go down my Moroso studs and get the lug nuts tight.I did it that way for a long time, easier to park, fun at drive-in windows..John Kissel K242

We build cars to hopefully win. Period. I don't give a crap about anything else. T-shirt sales, (Which you cannot do at NHRA events.) So that's out. Anyone worth their salt races to do one thing ~ WIN A DRAG RACE. This guy is like the kids on the losing ball team who all get a trophy. When he gets a real bullet maybe then he can compete.

Of course Ol' Chris K. might disagree with that ...(About that winning thing, I mean.)

I started in '73, with a '68 Caddy, a homemade tow bar, & my '69 GTO. Ran D/S. Won quite a few races at our local track, those first 2 seasons. Precious memories. :)

Then the trend was Bock Dragstar open trailers, they sold tons of those things, and they weighted a ton!
