Re: Live from Indy!!!
Why didn't they tear Blossom since he's going to get power for that run? I thought that it was decided along time ago that you would tear down if you went -1.40 under in qualifing.

Re: Live from Indy!!!
Steve Welker is #1 alternate and Brian Livengood #2.
Only Downing and Gere are out. (Pendarvis and Sam are still in the barn putting his back together and it's been 12 hours!) The time we went 1.60 under and got horsepower on Monday after Indy in the truck, we had to teardown. Patsy |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Any word on who is going to the barn in SS?
|
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Only 1 I've heard about is McClanahan.

Re: Live from Indy!!!
Hey Larry, Which McClanahan? Gotta be Brian, right? The Cobalt isn't Gulius power.
|
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Well, we got beat 1st round. Lots of redlights and breakouts this morning. We are going up to watch round 2, then I will try to go by the barn and see who is there before we pack up to go home.

Re: Live from Indy!!!
Larry and Patsy, hank you for all your reporting. It is much appreciated.
Good luck at the next event and safe traveling going home. |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
By the way, what happened to Private Ryan in first round?
|
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Private Ryan got beat on the light then broke out by .02. Same thing that we did.
In the barn we have pulling heads: Richard, Eagle, Jeltema, Forbes, Silveus, Manning. And on the other side pulling pistons we have: Houser, Pancake, Wann, Boburka, McClanahan SS/GA, Beachy, and Nicewanger. It's been fun doing this this week, but we are heading back to Kentucky later today. If I hear any more before we leave, I'll let you know. Bye for now Patsy |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Thanks again Patsy. You're the best.
It's tuff sitting out here listening to the audiocast and not being able to keep up. |

Re: Live from Indy!!!
Patsy & Larry,
Thanks for the ride! Stockers like you are way cool! Have a safe trip home. Frank |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Looks like all the Gulius customers went through the barn with no problems, even though they had to pull rods and pistons. So I guess all the crybabies will have to find something else to complain about. Congrats to Mike Iacono, Lincoln Morehead, Brian McClanahan, Jim Boburka and Jeff Nicewanger.

Re: Live from Indy!!!
Thank you Stefan. I was wondering how it was going to turn out. Brian is a good friend of mine and I wish him luck.

Comeback Kid!
Ron Terrill in SS/JA went 11.60 until first round of class. We saw O'Maley go 10.16 and said, that is fast! Then Ron pulls out that 10.09. What a comeback! SS/JA is cool class.

Re: Live from Indy!!!
of course its a cool class thats why i run it 10.09 and 10.16 now you know why i,m sitting at home
mabee some day nhra will rate them small blocks right so the rest of us can run with them thanks larry and patsy great reporting as normal |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
We made it back home safe and sound. Sorry I didn't have time to make it back over to the barn.
Thanks for all of ya'lls thanks for reporting. It was really fun. We are planning on going to Earlville, Memphis and Columbus Sportsnationals, so I will be reporting from there. I know it is not nearly as exciting as Indy, but we plan on having a great time as usual. So bye again for now. Patsy & Larry |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Many thanks to Patsy and Larry for an exciting week of reporting!! Best wishes and enjoy the rest of the season!! :)
|
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Patsy and Larry you do us a great service. Thanks to you.
As you see in the other post the Gulius motors passed So McClanahan is good to go. Thanks again, |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Hats off to Larry and Patsy for some great "Live Reports". I was entered to run there but had a few things come up with work and the car, so I needed to change my plans. Your reports made it a little easier not to be there. See you in Columbus.
|
Re: Live from Indy!!!
thanks Pasty !! :) I made to and back home from Indy today with the new car....see everyone @ sportsnationals!
|
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Patsy, thank you for all the news! So Stevie sneaks off, buys another engine, returns to Indy
and puts it in, and casually tries to pass off that Secret Sauce as HIS, and not ALICE's! What a guy, you gotta admire him! A big CONGRATS to Stevie's E/SA win and John Shaul's A/SA win. Two deserving racers! Glad everyone had a great time!!! |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
Casey and I were watching second round of SuperStock as the sun was going down. A beautiful time of night. However, I guess the"hook" went up drastically with no sunlight hitting the track as Ernie Neal's GT/A Cavalier went completely vertical. We were in the last section down the track and all we could see was the underside of the car. The announcer said it was back bumper and wheelie bars as all 4 tires were off the ground! If someone finds a picture it needs to be posted, as it is why SS and S are the best class to watch without a doubt. NHRA is missing it on TV, nothing can be as "visual" as that! (with the exception of Pamela Anderson strapped to Ernie's passenger seat.)
He stated that Ernie might need a chiropractor. Casey and I were thinking more like a change of underwear. Lynn |
Re: Live from Indy!!!
My apologies to all for being a 1st round loser. I will see if I can stay in a few more rounds next time so the report can keep on going.
