Re: Driver Interviews
Bobby thank you for doing this interview. It is amazing how STOCK that car is. Probably one of the most stock cars that races in Stock Eliminator. I have loved this car for a long time. Thank You.:D:D

Re: Driver Interviews
I have been friends with Casey for over 20 years. First time I ever saw that car it amazed me. I have been under that car and believe me its so nice and original it's ridiculous. Love that car and I'm a FFFFord guy.

I've know Casey and his Z/28 for many years when he lived up here on Long Island. When I started building my Nova he gave me some ideas and things to look at, and investigate. It is very rewarding to me, to see Casey and his car on your interview. That car is one of a hand full of Z/28's sold through Baldwin Chevrolet that was next door to Motion Performance back in the day. Another Z belongs to a couple that I went to grammer school with, that was also purchased from Baldwin Chevrolet. Great interview and a good story. As I'm sure you know every racer and race car has a story to tell. Keep up the Great Work. Respectfully, Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA |

Re: Driver Interviews
The reason I do driver interviews... we need more stories like this: Young muscle car fan purchased a Camaro, went to the drag strip, fell in love with Stock eliminator, became D3 champ last year.

Re: Driver Interviews
In-N-Out Burger came to the rescue and is providing us with a West Coast playground for at least another 10 years! And their burgers at the track too? Let's recap the Winternationals in Pomona and what happened with that starter/crewperson situation in Comp Eliminator?

Re: Driver Interviews
Bobby Indy is really easy to fix as far as AHFS. Although I'm old school and think it's nuts trying to slow our cars down as much as we do now. Just look at the years when they keep the AHFS in place how many combo's received HP. Zippo None 0 that I know of. So how does it work there. It just becomes another race you have to play the AHFS game or like a lot of us faster class cars you just stay home. But to appease those that want the AHFS on at Indy. Do it every other year. BP

Re: Driver Interviews
There was racing all over the country this weekend! D7 was in Las Vegas, D4 was in Noble, Oklahoma, and D2 was in Reynolds, Georgia. Let's recap the weekend results, class winners in Super Stock, and talk about a few cool things coming up. How would you like to fix your AHFS average?

Re: Driver Interviews
It's Thursdee. Check out Jamie Schoenly's original '72 Maverick purchased new by his father. It retains that uncut factory look that we love in class racing and even has the original back seat.

One minute Barry Parker is asking where the track entrance is located, the next minute he is hoisting the Stock Eliminator Wally! Monty Bogan continues to dominate on the east coast. Free Spectators at Atco Dragway May 5-7 for Division 1's National Open! Why haven't I been paying attention to Factory Stock?

Re: Driver Interviews
When I raced in the 90's there was a guy who ran a car like this in Div. 1. It was a stick, and I believe he ran in J. I don't know which combo he ran. It was brown, and the guy did well with it. Can someone help me with his name?

Re: Driver Interviews
Was it RC Waddell (sp)? I believe he finished top 10 maybe even as close as 2nd for the world one year.

When I was covering IHRA and NHRA points races in the midwest I saw the Kastle Cougar quite a bit. Seems like he also races(d) a Torino that is just as nice.

Re: Driver Interviews
I met RC last year at the Dutch. he told me he still has the car, and was actually talking about coming out again with a different car.
