Re: Class Nationals event planning
I made my motel reservations yesterday at the Red Roof Inn in Reynoldsburg; the total cost is $231.62, including tax and using the Senior discount, for 3 days. The motel is 18 miles from the track right off of I-70; it should take 15 - 20 minutes to get to the track. The Red Roof Inn in Hebron is cheaper and is only 2 miles from the track, but the reviews on Tripadvisor were generally very negative, so I chose Reynoldsburg. If you don't qualify for the Senior discount; use Promo Code 603950 on the Red Roof Inn website and you will get the same 10% discount that a Senior gets. The Promo Code is from SmartBizSavings and is 100% legitimate. Prior to becoming a Senior; I used it every time I stayed at a Red Roof.

Bill,, we went ahead and made reservations at the Hebron RRI. The gal mentioned all kinds of discounts,, AAA, NHRA, senior,, etc, etc. Too bad you can't collect on all of them, so I took the AAA. We'll just be there for basically sleep and showers, since the wives aren't coming, so the room should be fine. Deffinately looking forward to this event.

Loose Rocker would like to thank Tom and TJ Boucher at Boucher's Racing Engines for bringing their popular Bounty Hunter concept to the Class Nationals! Boucher's Racing Engines will award $100 each to the Stock and Super Stock drivers who take out the #1 Qualifier in their respective Sunday's $5K main events! I was fortunate enough to cash in with the Turismo once on the NHRA Div. 1 Bounty Hunter program in Stock sponsored by Boucher's, way back in the late '90s. That's a lot of years of support for their fellow Sportsman racers by a talented engine builder and driver! We appreciate them being a part of our event. You can contact Boucher's Racing Engines in Rowley, Mass. at 978-948-7343 or on the web at www.bouchersracing.com. http://www.dragracecentral.com/stori...6_TBOUCHER.JPG |
Re: Class Nationals event planning
Anyone know somebody at MAV TV? I could see them spending the weekend and providing a couple "TV Events" worth of coverage.
Maybe Michael could meet up with them at the PRI Show??? Now THAT would get under the skin of some big wheels at Glendora ;-) |
Re: Class Nationals event planning
We will be having LIVE video all three days from Mark Walter and the crew at www.motormaniatv.com. Video is also archived and available to watch after the event. They have a substantial established audience, and do a tremendous job with fully-produced multi-camera footage accompanied by the PA broadcast.

Re: Class Nationals event planning
At last count, we have two from Canada and four from New York booked into rooms at Hebron for the race. Sounds like a great time, thanks Mike!

Truth be told Dave, they had rooms booked before the rest of us. They are coming down for a visit this Saturday, will have to bribe (read beer) some speed secrets out of the Monza driver! LOL
