Re: Class Nationals event planning
Michael,
Would you refresh my memory, please? Is the Quick 32 the top 32 qualifiers or the quickest 32 class winners only? Bob |

If one of "the slow guys" that's eligible for the Hammerhead/Buckeye S/SS Series JUNIOR STOCK Shootout (K/S class on down) is also a Q32 Qualifier, that driver will need to let us know which one they will be running. Can't run both, as the races will be going on at the same time. |
Re: Class Nationals event planning
Before some asks.... What is the Junior Stock Shootout? :
From the Class Racer thread for the event: Jeff Ross, founder of the Buckeye S/SS Series, approached me with an idea for a Junior Stock Shootout. The race would be for any car with an Index of 13.00 or slower (Note: cerRemember, we are running off the 'old indexes', so that would be L/SA on down, D/PS on down, etc.) Standard eliminator format: handicapped, sportsman ladder, heads-up runs in effect when applicable. The Quick 32 CIC races on Friday night are certainly going to need a little cooldown time between rounds. By my estimate, Junior Stock would probably be about 25-32 cars, so they should fit in there nicely. (No double entries: i.e., can't run both Quick 32 and Jr Stock) Just like Class and the Quick 32's, there will be no additional entry fee for Junior Stock participants. Jeff has put up $500/Win and $200/RU. We'll see if we can get some other sponsors to add to the purse. At worst, Loose Rocker Promotions will make sure that Semis get $100, and an Iron Tree trophy for the winner like all the other classes. You can find all the Buckeye S/SS Series info right here on ClassRacer |
Re: Class Nationals event planning
While we're wrapping up post-race coverage of our $20K American Doorslammer Nationals and preparing for our $20K Fall Footbrake Frenzy V, Loose Rocker Promotions is also looking ahead to the PRI show coming up at Indy next month. We spoke with a number of companies this summer that expressed a keen interest in the Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals, but don't do their budgets until over the winter. We'll follow up with these and other companies at PRI and throughout the winter months and continue to add sponsors to the greatest Stock and Super Stock event in over a decade!

Kyle Carrothers at Carrothers Racing Equipment will award a free clutch dyno session to the winner of the SS/K Stick Shift Shootout during the Lucas Oil Class Eliminations! |
Re: Class Nationals event planning
I see the div 2 double @ Atlanta has been dumped on top of the event date.

Re: Class Nationals event planning
I am probably jumping the gun on this one, but are there any thoughts on the index's that the Cobra Jets/Copo's (FX) cars will be running on? Just curious about the Quick 32 portion of the event.
