Check the smiling crowd watching Moroso's car. That's when drag racing was fun to watch and be involved in. Every car had it's own personality.

This years Class Gear Jammer SKICK SHIFT NATIONALS June 15 at Farmington Dragway. Last year over 100 stick cars. Lots of corvettes!!!!!! It will be worth the trip to see these cars!!!!!!!

I don't know if Terry Sherrill was mentioned earlier in this thread, but he was so much fun to watch, I thought I would post a pic of his A/MP corvette.
It was a car that as a kid I ran to the starting line to watch. |

Am not certain if this car qualifies an "old modified Corvette" but the Engels Corvette now has the NHRA permanent number assigned to Angelo DeCarlo.
