Here is a photo my friend Tom Olsen took at Englishtown in the summer of 1969 (Dick Oldfield car):

As for my own, making some progress. Tim Banning is getting started on the new Hemi, and I am still figuring out exactly what else I want to do. I did swap out the Super Tricks and dry-rotted Firestones for some new Cragars and Mickey Thompsons:

Great change to that car. Got my vote for good choice of wheels

I'm liking your playroom Clint. That leaky old LO23 is going to be leaving oil trails all over that nice floor...lol

Had Cragars on mine for a few years. Put spinners on them. This is a pic from 2006? I'm thinking when I still had the pump gas friendly Elfhunt in it.

Thank you!

Don't worry, the floor is used to leaks. At least they are easy to wipe up. Practically everything I own leaks one fluid or another. Except the modern ones. Your car looks fantastic, btw.

Quick question for you guys that actually run your cars- do you have a front engine plate, or just motor mounts alone? Tim Banning suggested I install one.

Also, does anybody really have any idea how many of the original 80 LO23s are remaining?

If your going to run an external oil pump getting the lines to fit on a uncut mount or K member is almost impossible . Add in #1 header tube and steering box.
Look at the pic of the mount previous of my motor. I have an uncut K member and dual milodon pump. The mount is custom fabbed from tubing that replaces the OEM mount.
I can provide better pics if you need.
Whats on it now?

Second part of your question is kinda a loaded question. There are a few out there that may of not started with A LO23 designation but have one now.
Mark Janaky or Dell Jones are the most knowledgable on these things .
I used to think theres about 50% but I believe I am low.

Thanks, Daryl.

Here is the current setup. I can't get over how much more room there is in this little Dart engine bay compared to the passenger side shock tower area in my '67 GTX (see last pic). Those Hurst hammers did the trick pretty well, I guess. But yeah, I see what you are saying...pretty darn tight by the drivers side engine mount.

Hi my brother owns the Hemi Dart (THT Stick)
my brother bought it in 1998 and it got shipped to Switzerland where my brother owns a mechanic and bodyshop the car is now in perfect condition with all the original paperwork and registered on the road.
Please ask if you have any questions regarding this Car.
Cheers Roger

When I was looking for an original Hurst car back in the 80's I remember seeing a 4 sale ad in Florida (I believe) for the THT stick

can you imagine visiting Switizerland, and driving down the road and seeing the lo dart? wondering that it could never have been an original car!
