Finally had some time to go searching through my old NHOA newsletters. Found a pic from back in 1980. There's a good article on it with wiring diagrams if you need more liteweight BTW check out the very hard to find heater delete fresh air vent. That vent on a heater equipped car is part of the heater box assembly . https://image.ibb.co/czfPnw/20171125_182301_1.jpg |

Hey thanks guys for the radio/heater plate stuff. Much appreciated!!! I know there's more guys out there with these things. I sure would like to see a few more. Comon guys, Step on up................................. BTW LO23 Keep a close eye on your temp gauge with that motor using the oem style rad with that kinda hp. The alloy block and heads will help but the design of the original rad leaves alot to be desired. ie inlet and outlet on same side. This doesn't promote the coolant for complete core use. liteweight |

Clint
I tried using the original 033 rad, but it would not cooI. I then changed the top tank so the outlet of the rad was on the passenger side to promote flow across the entire core. Helped but still heated. The end result is the biggest rad Be Cool makes to fit in a Big Block A Body without any cutting and 2 puller electric fans. The tanks have notches and fit above the frame rails. After all this, I still have to watch the gauge on hot days. But then again, I do street drive mine every chance I get. Even on those hot days liteweight https://image.ibb.co/mW4vAG/20141010_224206_1.jpg https://image.ibb.co/jdvVcw/20170515_213546_1.jpg Yes its tight https://image.ibb.co/fFEvAG/20170515_213611_1.jpg |

I am thinking I read somewhere back a couple hundred posts that these were also thought to be installed on the Mexico export Darts. Maybe someone has a "south of the border salvage" connection? |
