Re: SS/B Record

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Billy Boyd just set the SS/B record last week @ 8.95 with his ZL-1 Camaro?

Re: SS/B Record

Nope, I stand corrected:

SS/A 8.95 150.14 06/14/08 Billy Ray Boyd - Norwood, CO
'69 Chevy Morrison, CO
SS/B 8.97 148.41 05/02/08 Paul Adams - Barboursville, WV
'64 Ford Petersburg

Re: SS/B Record

Am I missing something here? Why all the hoopla over this car? Dont get me wrong as the T-Bolt is a very nice car and runs well. Its not the first S/SB in the 8's was it? There is a 64 Plymouth from Dayton,O. that was the first S/SB in the 8's as far as I know. I imagine if you're the baddest silence is golden.

The hoopla is because the car set the record the first time out of the box. The car is also one of the nicest looking cars out there also. And it's a Ford on top of that.

exaclty, I was the first one to congratulate Tony D when he was the first SS/B car in the
8's, and was hoping there would be something NHRA or anyone else would do for him for that accomplishment, article, etc...............NOTHING!! yea the big thing here about Paul's accomplishment is that this was done with a limited amount of passes,. and its a beautiful car. As far as i am concerned I love all the B stick cars, maybe one day we can get up there??
