If a car gets hit 3-4HP at a time every 6 months to a year, then that is about 85 years. We are all dead and buried. Most of those engine combos have "favorable" ratings or they wouldnt be running them. You have to take your hat off to Stinnett at 3600 plus lbs running against 2670 lb cars. That car is bad.

Lynn-

The favorable rating only looks good, because enough guys are running the combo's that are fast and developing new pieces and ways to keep them fast. It has been this way since NHRA's inception. Quit trying to change the rules with the forums and change your program. Something, only you, is in charge of.

You don't see any 350/295 racers on here complaining about getting stiffed for 17 hp in the last four AHFS reviews because of GT/AA, do you? Everyone knows the rules, and if you don't want to play by the rules, you get to add weight.

Some things need to be tweaked with the AHFS. But having something that has removed "some" of the human element in factoring is better than the "I think that guy is an A__HOLE, so he gets power approach" don't you?

Take the wanted tweaks to the Div. committee. Gotta start somewhere.

Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
1108 Gary Richard 55 Gary Stinnett
C3 ****WINNER**** 0.084 9.282 140.81 0.030 0.099 NS
GT/AA Index: 10.40 (+/-): -1.118 GT/AA Index: 10.40 (+/-): -10.301
Prior rounds:
Qualified: #26 9.277 141.06 #41 9.304 147.94

Stinnett's car makes a hard move towards the centerline after the launch and he slows. Oddly, something triggered the right lane lights at 0.099! Richard is the winner in GT/AA.

Got to love Drag race central!!!

They changed it last year, I believe.

Sean,

Already entered if you didnt notice. We might not be in the hunt (new combo for us in GTAA), but we are at least trying. I support this GTAA class 100%.

I am confused. Are you talking about opposing the AHFS current methods? I choose to make everyone aware of this unscientific approach and a better way, and get everyone equal access to after market parts.

I just said I bet Bo Kenny is not the fastest AA car.
Indy always brings out the best in us all.
Congratulations on your move to AA

Re: GT/AA Class War At Indy

Years ago....Jim Boudreau told me he wanted to build a CORVETTE for GT/AA. At that time NHRA told him that they were NOT allowing corvettes in the GT classes. I assume the rule has changed (ex- the bohannons have run their small block corvette in GT classes recently).

I'm sure a most vettes would make a mean GT car.
