Are things run this way in other Divisions ? BTW , some of you have to remember -- I'm only the messenger -- please -- don't shoot the messenger ! ! ! A few got quite loud last night while relaying their feeling to me -- ouch ! !..............

If the T/S and T/D classes are not earning points for a divisional or world championship then I personally dont think they should even be there. To many classes and cars not to mention the huge rigs everyone uses today. It takes far longer to run those so called "TOP" classes with thier across the line burn outs and dragging them all over the place with a pit vehicle than it does a stocker or S/S car. Im not saying what I feel about the Alcahol "HA HA" cars and dragsters. There just isnt enought time in a day or room in the pits for all of this unless its a national event caliber sized track. When the weather dosent turn out nice its a mess. Its all about money (entry fee's and associated costs for these cars) today. They dont care if you get one qualifying shot or time run or not. Just my 2 1/2 cents.

I think I read somewhere that next year Top Dragster and Top Sportsmen are included in the Jeg's Allstars. Did anyone else read that or am I having a "senior moment"?

I'm sure glad this one is "in the books" as they say -- don't know if I could have taken much more .Sure , its fun and all that but the rain and mud really takes its toll .Yesterday as I was driving home I felt like I let you guys down as I didn't post much all day but for the first time all year I finally went some rounds and and even though it was all good I still took the close loss hard and couldn't get on the road fast enough and try to beat the holiday traffic ( and I didn't ) .

I've got to tell you about a conversation I had with Joe DeMarzo our Stock winner yesterday - before his heads-up with Perrone ( which he won on a holeshot ) - I asked what his chances were for winning that round and he answered -" I'm the best I can ever be - today " . He said it to me matter of fact -- not bragging or anything -- turns out he was right .Well done Joe .............

Speaking of conversations I had a lenghty one Saturday night with Bruce DeVeau ( Racerhead ) and maybe , just maybe it had something to do with me going rounds the next day - - thanks Bruce .

PS-- Please don't forget to send those cards out today to our friend Larry Wiggens -- I know today he needs cheering .Yesterday , some of the NHRA staff spoke with him and I'm sorry I wasn't there to join in .

PSS-- Thought you might like this little didde -- cute ain't it .......

Tell y'all what........ I'm just glad they got the race in........ BUT........ what was up with that whacky run schedule...... first time I ever went out first in S/G..... but no big deal........ guess when you're older you just get used to things being the same all the time......

BUT...... I'm definitely pissed about all the dirt all over my stuff and all over the ground in the pits...... everytime a car or golf cart went by my pit, it all blew up in the air again and all over everything...... one would think that NHRA would take a stand and have the dirt squirrels stay home while we are there...... especially with Alcohol and Comp motors being apart and worked on.....

AND..... like I said some time back..... and X-TECH will bear me out......... watch out for T/D and T/S...... they will be in the BIG SHOW before you know it.......

NHRA will lose that battle. The crowd is there for the dirt cars..not us. What they should do is move the divisional to a different weekend. I think Div 1 likes to sit in traffic. The Virginia div is the same wknd as the Nascar race in Richmond. Maple div is Memorial day wknd where you have holiday traffic. Lebanon is 4th of July wknd where you have even more holiday traffic. Our schedule is not very well thought out.
