Ex division 2 tech director Daryl Davis ran a 62 Dodge wagon/383/343 in 1969 in G/SA. I remember 13.0's and ocaisionally high 12's. I had many opportunities to witness those runs coming from behind. I was spotting him just over a second and never beat him except when he broke out more than a tenth. This was running off national records.

the villain was always an awesome car, and still is i have it sitting in my garage right now! the end of the my dad bought the car in early 80 after it was tubbed and caged by don ness and raced by rick johnson who now runs a hemi dart after my dad got it the car was bracket raced with a max wedge. but the car is still up and alive anyone have some old photos of it?

These cars are really cool. I have a 62 Savoy (ex Dan Dvorak stocker) in the garage awaiting its turn
Also I have a 62 Savoy wagon that I occasionally footbrake race
They have a style of there own

John Shauls' 62 "Mr. 413" Car is really FAST ! I'm sure it will be at Pomona, we might get to see just how fast it is ! Was at Vegas last weekend, was something to see both Dwrights' and Jonhs' car near the same color and both sitting by each other in the stagging lanes. And you're right, so Ugly it's cool looking.

Another little known engine option is, indeed, the 413 but with inline two fours rated at 395hp.

I've seen one '62 Dodge with that option and complete paperwork but I can't remember if it was dealer installed or not......anyone familiar with this option?
