Although not the fastest SS/AM in the country I think Jim Reynolds beautiful '57 chevy is definitely the most impressive. Anytime you can get a '57 to run in the 8.80's quartermile and 5.50's eigth mile and leave like a pro stocker you are making some serious hp. The retro paint job is way cool too!

How about Jon Percy's 64 Plymouth lightweight in SS/AA last year at 8.61. Record still standing. Thats pushing a lot of air !!

Currently, John Calvert's SS/G
Good old Days, any of Dick Estevez's Cobra Jets. A one point, held the SS/EA and SS/FA records with the '68 light weight and the SS/GA and SS/HA record with the '69 Blue convertible. Also, prior to that, held the SS/H and SS/I records with the '69 Red convertible. |
