Hi AdemE,

Thanks for your interest and support of our new initiative!

All the monies collected such as yearly memberships and associate fees will be used to keep the association viable and healthy. Just like any business, you must have reserve funds to keep the association prepared for any expense incurred and utilize some of the funds to market your brand to drive new interest.

In addition, all members or associate members , will be provided with a regular newsletter, member t-shirt and association decals as well as any other related products we may negotiate along the way.

A website is also being considered to allow all members to have a place to chat and share ideas/ tips etc.

Having raced in a very successful association for the past 5 years has allowed me to capture some "best practices" and if there is one thing I have learned, a strong "revenue stream" allows associations to be vibrant and strong.

Cheers!

James and Peter,

Guys, I wish I had more information to share with you at this point in time but a great deal more behind the scenes work needs to take place. At this point, I am not comfortable revealing any more information and do not want to "redlite" so to speak.

Maybe, it's the time of year but things have been rather slow. Until the NHRA LODRS and IHRA Pro Am schedules come out for 2012, it's hard to move forward. If anyone out there has any inside information regarding 2012 track schedules, knows of a good fit (i.e. weekend prior to a divisional) and would like to assist, I am open to suggestions.

Now, having said that we are still moving forward for 2012 and my enthusiasm has not wavered in the least.

One thing for certain I can reveal is the name of the group will have to change from the Northwest Stock/Super Stock Association as Jim Isherwood's group owns that title. My apologies to Jim for creating any difficulties.

Regards,

Matter of fact,, that new racetrack in Washington, called the Ridge Motorsports Park started paving the roadrace portion of the property last week, got it finished quickly and even ran a couple cars around it last weekend and this week had a few bikes going around the course, which is located at the rear of the site, with upper and lower levels. The dragstrip will be posistioned out in front, which is why the roadcourse was poured first as they didn't want construction equipment running around over a new strip.
Check out the updates and videos on their website: www.ridgemotorsportspark.com
Its amazing to think how far they've come in about 190 days as this place was all stumps and brush when the permit was issued around April 26th of this year.
Nearly all 2012 dates are booked for the roadcourse, I'm told, and they'll be releasing info and dates on the dragstrip before too long. Its been pretty cool stopping by there over the last 7 months watching this facility come together, if you get a chance to stop by, by all means do it.
