She may have been special back in the 60's, but welcome to Sports Illustrated 2012:

As CharleyBob would say, "times change and it ain't the 50's anymore".

It is a unfortunate fact of life, We all start out young and beautiful and we ALL grow old and die.

Trust me, from someone who has spent a small amount of time with Linda over the years she HAS NEVER BEEN and WILL NEVER BE nasty. She is as far from that as is possible.

That's a very cruel thing to write about someone who is one of the kindest, most considerate, and friendliest people I've ever met. Regardless of what you may believe, she is the epitome of class.

I met Linda through Bill when we were seated at his table the year he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. As I got to know Jenkins later, I learned that they were very good friends. I'm not hinting at anything with that statement and it means exactly what it says.

One of Bill's most notable moments came when he arrived at some sort of ceremony or banquet (I can't remember which one he told me) and was fairly lubricated with liquid cheer. He and I share a fondness for good scotch.

For once, Jenkins' less-than-NBA stature paid off. He walked across the room directly to Linda and instead of just saying hello did his finest motorboat impression.

Some were stunned, but all were jealous.

You didn't write you thought she was unattractive, you said she was nasty. Even with today's weird usage and meanings I can't read that as anything other than an insult.

Another reason why I don't post often on this site, because you state your opinion and get your nuts cut off by know-it-alls (young and old) if someone disagrees.

I think I see the problem here. Internet message boards depend mostly on words. If you have problems choosing the correct ones, people are going to challenge you. All they have to go on is what you actually wrote and not what you thought you wrote.

In this case I'd say it's better you don't post much, if this is the best you can do. As for being a know-it-all, I guess that means that I actually know Linda. You obviously don't, or you wouldn't have described her as nasty.

Kevin: Linda's actually a great person to talk to. FYI, the Sports Illustrated 2012 swimsuit cover model, Kate Upton, is the niece of Representative Fred Upton (Whirpool Corp.). I wonder how well she would do on "spin cycle"?
