Re: Calling out all Mustangs
#1
Bret what are you saying here ? "If you already know what is going to happen, please post a race report and save a bunch of people the gas money of traveling to Houston." All I have said is that I think the weight on the V10 is soft , I also said that I thought Butners car was the car to beat . I dont know thats going to happen but I do have a opinion about the up coming race and the cars . I thought that this forum was for expressing your opinions ? I have raced long enough to no that the fastest car does not always win in heads up racing and you have to run the race to win . #2 Did I do something wrong in asking about the payout ? Guess answer on payout is none # 3 none # 4 none # 5 Not answered , My question is if I'm licensed in NHRA for Stock , Super stock , Comp and Top sportsman and ADRL excepts my license (which they do ) why do I need a new physcial when mine is current ? Bret , lighten up dont be so defensive Just asking a few simple question and I get a PR person answers to them and a simple answer would have worked . For the record I support what you , Jeff , Chris and ADRL are trying to do I Just had a few question that had not been addressed After all you are asking racers to bring 100k plus cars to a race to be entertainment for your crowd and not offering any payout or championship at years end. I also no a little about sponsoring heads up racing being the sponsor for IHRA Top Stock from 2004 - 2006. As a past sponsor who made mistake's I would recommend to you , listen to your critic's and address there concerns if you want the class to survive and grow . Every form of racing needs the big guys as well as the little guy . Ford , Chevy and Mopar no this thats why they have re entered stock and superstock racing . I learned the hard way racing needs the little guy dont forget about them . |
Re: Calling out all Mustangs
I didn't mean to be rude, Bo. I answered the questions to best of my ability. I don't want to usurp the authority of the tech guys so I deferred those questions. On the payout, I just wanted to mention nobody had ever asked.
I take everybody's criticism as seriously as their compliments. As I pointed out early, if anybody finds any discrepancies in the rulebook, please bring it up so we can clarify the point. |
Re: Calling out all Mustangs
Bret , Im cool with that . I do think the physical thing should be looked into ASAP by all envoled at ADRL . I could make a difference in the car count . I do want the series to survive and do well . I would also like to win that ADRL World Championship Belt in the future .
I have looked at the website but dont see a place to register for the SCS races , maybe you can post a link |

Re: Calling out all Mustangs
Just wondering, is there anything stopping someone from running one of the Cobra Jets with the big 4.0L blower that the SS/A-B cars use?

Re: Calling out all Mustangs
Actually, it's plainly posted in the rules under INDUCTION SYSTEM, Supercharger:
The ADRL Technical Services Department maintains a list of OEM superchargers originally offered for production vehicle use. Supercharger eligibility for the SCS is not guaranteed and constructors should consult with the ADRL Technical Services Department prior to committing to a specific supercharger model. At present, the 4.0 liter, (244.20 cubic inches), displacement Whipple unit is not eligible for SCS participation. |
