As mentioned above Mat won the warm up race and Gianni Cantusci was R/U.
Congratulations to both.

Its been a challenging week end for many.... Friday the13 Al Mark blew two tires on his trailer on the way to the track and Sat he was towed back to his trailer....Our last year winner Jacques Blais left to do some needed repairs. Others were working hard in the heat to be ready for today.
Today is the 10K race, so good luck and safe racing to all in competition.
Wish I could be there today............

I was at this race all day yesterday and am very impressed to say the least, we dont get this caliber of cars up this way,and the turnout was incredible despite the heat,(lots of canopies to hide under during the day)cant make it for the big race today, but I reccomend to anyone that can make it to go,Napierville dragway and the Gaffneys are a class act,you wont be dissapointed!!!

Great racing today, down to the last couple rounds, rain has started; however we should be up and running in a couple of hours and with the early jump on starting this morn we should be wrapped up for supper. I would like to thank everyone involved in making this weekend a success as well as all the racers that took the time to come up and compete. Track conditions where good even with the tremendous heat and we were able to get up to eight time runs yesterday and as many as you wanted Friday. Forty cars showed up and seven didn't make the call in Stk/SS; however someone will leave 10k richer! Hoping that we can continue this venue and racers will catch on that this event is one of the best in D1. C u all in Epping.

I have to ask, why so many Class Racers decided not to show up and race for $10k, was it too far(just next door to New York State), problem with the economy? problem with the track and it's owners? too many races paying $10k for Stock and Super stock? Problems with crossing the border(no passport or afraid of the Customs). I have to say that I was dissapointed that the turn out wasn't greater. Even our cousins from Ontario stayed home. I would also enjoy hearing from our Next door neighbors who attended how was the crossing the Border, since our Custom and Border Services have made an effort to allow racers with the least amount hassle since the local Member of Parlement in the area intervened. Claude, I was there, and counted 8 Ontario cars in Stock/SS. (Apologies to anyone I may have overlooked.) You might be surprised to hear from many that the sweltering heat of our 2012 summer is a deterrent to racing, no matter how much the pot may offer.

I agree, it is a shame that more could not have sampled the hospitality of the Brunet family. The US drivers with whom I spoke said that the Napierville event is one of their favorites. Great people, food, beverages and SCENERY. The track surface was well groomed and the program moved along smartly. There were FOUR opportunities for the class cars to compete, plus ET racing for the tireless......hope to be there next year with the co-operation of the good Lord and the creek!

no complatints from me. i thought 48 cars was great consitering the heat. that's a long haul in that weather for the western canadians. the eastern group will continue their tour to epping makes the trip worthwhile. as usual very good U.S support...thankyou! this race is growing claude.
