Re: Race Car Names
I bought a new 1969 Camaro 6cyl 3spd built a bb 427/425 ran B/SA it was a new color for 69 Hugger Orange. My friends including Gordon Holloway of Comp Cam at Lakeland drag strip in Memphis said it looked like a pumpkin going down the track said I ought to put a green stem on the roof. Back then everybody had a name on their car. I thought about Charlie Brown waiting on the Great Pumpkin so there it was. I sold that car to Jerry Jennings in 1971 he still has it I tried to buy it back but not for sale. I built another about 1985 I'm racing now looks just like #1 I named it Great Pumpkin #2

Hi Dwight we had some great times at Carlisle lots of great cars and people I don't think we realize how good it was!! But also I'm glad I lived through those days we were kind of crazy. Thank the Good Lord, He was watching over us even when we weren't living for Him!

Re: Race Car Names
My 68 Camaro ex checkmate modified car is called killintime. As in ET. Also is well suited for time I spend in the garage.
