Re: 3sp to 4sp manual

An SROD is a 4 speed so a 4 speed Jerico, G-Force, or top loader could be used. Depending on the year of foxbody, if it came with an OD trans then a 5 speed can be used. If it's an 82 and older then 4 speed is the only trans allowed. This is stick combos that I am referring to.

Glad to hear something is in the works Phil. Hopefully something before 2017 happens for you. But its progress.

Yes. It is a true 4 speed with 3rd and 4th reversed.
Some of those cars came with T4's too

I received conformation today from a Division Tech Director that the above mentioned 4 speeds are approved to use in my early fox.

Thanks for the input.

Thank you Mr. Blackwell and to all for your support.

As of 10/25/16 NHRA has updated the manual transmission rule for Stock Eliminator. "Combinations available only with 3sp manual transmissions may be replaced with 4sp manual transmissions".

That is awesome Phil! Can't wait to see the '62 in action. Nice work taking the initiative to get that rule updated!
