This is just one more thing nhra doesn't have to do their job that everyone with a membership is paying for. Nhra isn't doing this for the racers. This is an insult to the racer that his car is factored to the max. If nhra wants to play this game, put all the cars back to their factory HP, then let the stuff hit the fan.

:D . . . now that would be entertaining! Both at the races and on this board!

What makes everybody think just because their will be no AHFS at Indy that a guy with the fastest car in his class is going to run wide open or on "kill" to win class? Nobody wants to show everything they have, they want go only as fast as they need to,to win.So their will still be "wheel racing" and sandbagging.

Maybe not every one will, but a lot will. Regardless, there will be a lot more BTTW runs than we have seen before; egos have a way of overcoming good sense.

I've always wondered this if you don't run hard at Indy what the hell are you saving it for?

Glad to hear it Larry. Would love to see you put an auto in it
and run like 3 seconds under! The -.229 or somewhere in there bomb shell a few years ago in eliminations at Indy with the stick was awesome. Likely while still shaking down
the truck I would imagine....

Oh oops Larry.. I just noticed the auto was factored to 182 hp. 1/1/13....
I look for the bump to be 1.0 at least under with
a mix of FS cars and obscure/ or "favoreable" combos. Most of
the old beat up combos will be left way out.

Thanks Ken for getting this rule put in.
should be really neat !!

Al, you always possessed the ability to verbilize what most people are thinking!

There was an old racer, he might be retired by now, that said " It doesn't cost a thing to pay attention". Sorry I just could not think of his name, getting old is not for the meek.

Conspiracy theory and popcorn two of my favorites!
