Barton just fired a shot with an 8.25 pass. Bruno Massel had a 131mph eighth mile almost identical to Bartons and coasts through with 8.44 at the same 131 mph. Look out!

Stock got their last qualifier in and for most they picked up anywhere from .03 to .o8 this morning .Many of the high powered teams drove off the starting line then hit full power trying to get qualified for the showdown .All the rest had no problem hooking while picking up their 60 foot times .

Still a bit windy here today - even with that most of you already know about Bartons' 8.25 shot at a mind blowing 165mph - can a seven second stocker pass be far off ????

Stock and Super Stock are done for the day, the pros are running now. First round for Stock was ugly, the right lane seem to have no bite at times. Randi Lynn spun so hard she went side ways. Cars that don't normal spin were having no luck in the right.

Rumor has it that the top 8 Showdown cars will get another qualifying run tomorrow before first round.
