Who goes by the first qualifying run? The ladder is based if the final qualifying run so naturally everything else would figured that same way. No change with Dad, thanks for asking.

Dan, we log on to this thread to see how our friends and fellow racers are doing at this particular race, not to read your incessant whining about a class that is long gone. You are old enough to remember that in '72 we were forced to convert our stockers to SS or the NEW pure stock class which went away in two or three years as we gradually got back to traditional stockers, so much for pure stock. Just be thankful that you didn't build a pro stock truck. I'm guessing you have much more money in an Impala SS pure stocker than many of our middle and lower class stock racers have in their stocker and probably some super stockers, just convert and move on or quit would be my suggestion.
One question, you live 100's of miles from these Div II events, tell us how many of them you would have made if they had run pure stock?

My two cents or YOUR subject, take a break.

Last year attended Piedmont and Farmington Point Meets.
Been to Darlington and Costal Plains before.
Would have gone again if NHRA had PS.
Could have hooked up with Bobby Butler and Ray Grice.
Maybe Gbur would have made the trip too.
Would have offered to be a Contingincy Sponsor again!
Plus there are other PS lurking in D2.
It is about supporting the Sport...

As for PS...it is the same Stock Eliminator Rules before ......
........becoming Pure Super Stock!

NHRA D2 would have lost $$ if they did not include CM.
As Gary said 40% were CM.
If NHRA included GT and PS it would had added to the count!.
Same as other IHRA meets!

Has anyone noticed CM owners are not rushing to become NHRA Stockers.
How come you are not bashing on them?

Duane..!
Wishing your Dad a quick recovery!
Mine passed away over a year ago!

Dan they actually had the same amount of cars for this race as they did last year even despite not having the 3 PS cars. 1 less CM car than last year, maybe the CM guys are working on a legal NHRA combo or maybe they're not but who knows they're not the ones up here crying to get the rules changed in their favor.
You say NHRA would be lost money if they didn't come but you forget they don't have to do any of this, its not some sort of government assistance program. And lastly as was already pointed out it was not 40% of the field it was 28%!

So, you are saying that if the NHRA would be willing to change their rules you will support their events. But, you barely supported the IHRA........

The holiday weekend messed it up a bit, I know three Longhaney cars were missing, Jim Marshall was on tour in Epping. Terry Taylor, Tim Sloan , Bill Plage, Cody Phillips, Brandon Peterson Hillery Sloan have already changed over to a NHRA stocker, there's at least another six or seven crate motor cars that didn't race. Give it some time. 👍
