I live in the Palm Springs area of SoCal, about 85 percent of the older homes, schools and government buildings have solar panels, new construction are mandated to include them in the price and the west end valley has over a thousand windmills and more being constructed. The fact that cadmium can be washed out of solar modules by rainwater is increasingly a concern but in my area, rainfall is less than 5 inches per year with almost no humidity. The EPA is already taking steps to in Washington state and California with recycling programs to protect the environment. |
