It's nice to see the DP's and CJ's leaving like real race cars now too. A lot of nice pictures with the wheels up amongst those cars. |

What you CAN'T do is... dump your water in the lanes. That is a NO-NO. However, you can cool your car in the lanes by other means. (ex... ice on your intake, portable cooling machines with hoses attached to the radiator, etc.). There is nothing wrong with these methods. |

Yes, Jim you can cool the car down right up until they tell you to go and race. Its funny to watch, neither driver wants to unhook the water lines first. Its like a chess match..... But thats what class racing is all about.... LOL

OK! Thanks for the clarification sir! I was told at the last SportsNats I went to that you could not bring anything into the lanes that contained water. I.E. spray can, ice, nor could you use any spray chemical cooling devices. I.E. freon, CO2 etc. No? Jim

Here is the list that rumor has it is going to the barn: Jeff Teuton, Kevin Helms, Doug Duell, Chuck Beach, Paul Boster, Caleb McFarland, David Barton, Charley Downing. Anyone feel free to add to the list. We will be down to the barn to document the goings-on off and on tomorrow. It is supposed to only be 100 again tomorrow.
Sorry but we decided not to go to the Ford meeting tonight. It has been so hot, we stayed in the shade and air conditioning instead! Maybe Ken will have some shots from there. More tomorrow! |

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I have been so busy taking video that I haven't had any time to edit them. I tried editing Stock Q1 yesterday, but the program kept crashing because there were so many files and it was so long. I will have to encode it in parts and splice them together.
There are so many cars here it's overwhelming. I have filmed over 500 pairs of Stock and Super Stock cars over the last two days. All of the video will get posted eventually. I don't know when though. I have probably filmed more cars in two days than I have all year. I obviously don't get payed well enough. :) I have filmed every round except the first round of Stock class as I was busy putting a tune up on Chrissy's car. It picked up .15 from yesterday morning and ran .93 under the index in 3000 ft DA. Chrissy has a real rocket ship on her hands. Here's second round of Stock class. I will try to get the rest of the rounds of Stock posted tonight. Then get to the track so I can film another 70 pairs of Super Stockers at 8:30 AM tomorrow morning. |

Good morning everyone, well its going to be another hot one, weather channel says 99 today. they just called super stock to the lanes for first round of class.
I can not thank Patsy, Tom and Toby enough for the great photos, videos and reports. I will try to get some video of tear down and in cars from super stock today. |

Just went up to watch Super Stock round 1 of class. Boy is it HOT! I took some pics at the teardown barn, but there was a problem with my camera, so I will go back and try again. Round 1 of the Hemi-Shootout we found out is after the 2nd round of class. We will be there for that, too.

Oh, there has been a little controversy in the pits concerning the Barton run on Wed. The rest of the DP cars are upset and there has been lots of raised voices. Well the Gestopole(sp?) police came over to the Texas trailer last night with the intention of throwing them out for threats, but when they found out it was about the AHFS, they (along with Gracia) left.
All this could be avoided if they put the new cars in their own class and factored them accordingly. |
