Patsy,,, If you all can get away for dinner while in Phoenix,,One of my favorite stops is Rustler's Roost,,, a restaurant on a hilltop overlooking the "Valley of the Sun". They've got great food and atmosphere too! Really love your reports, take care and good luck this weekend.

Well it is a beautiful day here at Firebird. It is only supposed to be 98 today, then 100 on Friday and Saturday. Last night at 9:45 when I went to bed, it was still 87. But we had the AC on all day yesterday, but was able to sleep with the windows open last night (with a fan blowing). Tech is today and they are still parking.
Gary, we are not plugged in, so I don't know if the electricity has been turned on or not. Sorry. I am going to take some pics of race cars today, so more later. |

Gary, I talked with Linda Stubeck and she said the electricity is on.
An update from Noble: 3rd round in Stock was all singles except for Country Dog and Kevin Stubbs. Jimmy won that one. So left is Jimmy, Randy Johnson (who had the bye), Cooter, Gary Emmons, and David Buckner. Buckner was to run Fred Henson, but on Sunday, they flipped a coin and the winner got to leave and the loser had to stay! |

Well it has been HOT today! 99 degrees, but only 14% humidity. Today was continuing parking and tech. Here are a few pics from today:

DRC finally just posted First Round Stock Qualifiers.
Two AA/SA Mustangs and a little ole 5.7 hemi in top three. But unfortunately 1320go.com isnt carrying the Phoenix race. So much for a subscription to a service that never has your races or your tracks. But it looks like we will need to wait for round two to get a good picture of the qualifications, since so many folks had issues. David\ The Nw Hemi Guy |

It has been so hot today that it has been miserable. I sat up in the aluminum stands just long enough to watch us race and got a headache from the heat. If you didn't sit on a towel or something you would burn your butt!
Just got back from fellow reporter Toby Lang's birthday party! It was a surprise for him put on by Greg Luneack and Verna. We missed the beginning but I think he was surprised. After dinner I have a few pics to post. I didn't get out and make many, but hopefully I will get more. I just didn't want to move much today if it got me out of the shade! |

Well we got thru round 1 with a double breakout. Next we have Al Corda heads up who is parked right next to us. He can see what we are doing and we can see what he is doing. But we still need a little help!!

Well Larry went for the tree and came up red. Then Al spun a little. But I am afraid he still would of won if Larry had been perfect instead of -.004. Oh well, that's racing! The air was better this morning by about 1000' early.
