Not sure if this photo was taken in the pits at Cornhusker, however the Buick Opel in the back ground was a regular at the track

I had to shrink the photo down to allow it to fit on here, when I did it came up in a different way. Now you will have to click on the attachment to view the photo. If someone knows how to fix this so the photo shows up without doing this feel free to download the photo to your computer and make it work correctly. For now just open up the photo and enjoy

The street roadster in the picture was the last car I raced before I got into the bar business----a long time ago.

I am still having problems loading a photo of a car leaving the line at cornhusker. Anyone with a facebook account can view the photo. I started a page for cornhusker raceway and was able to put the photo on there, however I can not get the photo to load on here from my home computer. The car is a Willys coupe and driven by Ron Degier. In the photo he is racing against a 67 green and white camaro. I will try again to load the photo tomorrow morning, wish me luck

Alot of the time I just run across photos on pages on facebook, sometime they dont even list who posted the photo, where the photo came from or even where the photo was taken. The last photo I posted was on a drag racing page on FB, I went thru something like 250 photos before I came across the little red wagon racing another wheel stander called Fugitive. I made sure I posted on the FB site where the photo was taken and about what year.

Dan B, Blue 57

The blue 57 in the pic formerly owned and raced by Dan Bruckner is now owned and has been owned by Mike Cerone. He purchased it from Dan in the early to mid 70's and raced it at Scribner as well as Thunder Valley in Marion SD. Can be seen at Mid America Motorplex occasionally. John Jacobson back halved the car in the late 80's My dad and I worked on the car for many years. In the 80's Mike bracket raced it and the car was called "Breakdown". I was with Mike in 81 at Scribner and spent almost all of my teen years in the 80's every Sunday helping him race the car. I have many pics of the car as well as many pics from the 80's of Scribner raceway.

not sure where or when the photo was taken. but it had to have been taken before 1969. All the photos of this car at the track show it with its custom paint job

The first picture in post 184, is the Jacobs 69 Camero, with the new owner Jay Bridgewater (on the right), that bought the Camero and it was re-named "RD Shaker"'. (He was from Omaha) The picture is about 1970 - 71 ??

Bridgewater could have had a partnership with Nick Whitaker, but not sure.

I think Bridgewater lives in Colo. now.

Don't recall the name of the other guy on the left.

............
Who is the owner of the maroon 56 Chevy in post 188...it looks like my old 56 after I sold it, but it used to be white and ran in Jr Stock.
Mine was a 210, and had some of the same chrome trim removed and the tach on the dash.

I am not so sure about this.....If you are talking about Charlie Jacobs, 69 "Pro Stock" Camaro. You could be correct, but I don't think this is the same car. I had a chance to buy the pro stock roller in 1972. It had Super Tricks on the front then, plus a lot of fiberglass on the front end. $1,000 was the asking price. I was thinking that Daryl Arrowsmith might have bought it.

Correction, Kind of....LOL.... I now realize that the RD Shaker you are talking about was the Super Stock car and not the Pro Stock car.

I'm sure the guy in the picture (#184) in front of RD Shaker, is J. Bridgewater..I went to high school with him, and was good friends with him and Nick Whitaker. (and I know what RD stands for)
