Ken is definitely NOT an expert in 68-72 Novas*. He posted a picture that is relevant to the topic.
*BTW, I won't hold it against you Kenny.

He could also have gained entry due to his status as a nine-time FIA European Pro Stock champion. That rule is in place to help encourage more International participation.

Thanks Kevin, I was hoping someone could shed some light on this, now...about them Tail lights...LOL

Ran some alcohol cars after the TD debacle. Nothing has happened in quite a while.

NHRA members can log in and get "Audiocast" and "Live Timing".

Here are so more shots of pits. They are bringing in gravel to help the situation. We had an alcohol car oil the track, so we had more down time. They are running now, but with live coverage for the pros today, I doubt any stk/ss or super classes will run today.

Tony, with all do respect, yes it is off topic. Please don't take this as being rude, but if you don't like the rules, please feel free to move on to another thread. I will not discuss this anymore in this thread. All responses that are off topic will be removed.

I guess I'm just naïve, but I'm here for a good time, I'm tired of the bitching and whining. If you feel strongly about something, feel free to start your own thread, but please leave this thread alone.

We just got a text message from NHRA, they might run us at 8:30 tonight.

Hey Ken, I have a new Nikon L840 too that I am trying to learn how everything works on it before we get to our first race! Have you figured out how to get to wifi on it?

Thanks for all the great pics! Hopefully we will be in Charlotte for some "Live" coverage!

Hey Ken, great pics, nice thinking outside the lens. I see that you all are enjoying some sunshine now, them showers keep staying south of you. You got a big one coming at you in several hours. It's got a lot of yellow in it on Weather Underground, you might want to tell a few to make sure about them E-Z ups. Can you get some more shots of the back forty tomorrow.

I can see frosty beverages in the near future, and fun to be had, for tomorrow is another adventure.

Do they stream all day as long as the track is active, or just when the pro classes are running?

By the way it looks like there is more rain coming your way in an hour or two.

Here are some pics from a couple of years ago, fond memories. I remember NHRA requesting that we rinse off our tires as to not bring mud into the lanes. Being in the back forty, by the time you get to the gate and building where the hose is at, your tires are already free of mud. Ahhh the memories.

We are done for the day. The two photos are of Dan Stevenson's pro mod that had a blower explosion and went up in flames. He got out of the car on his own, but it was a scary sight. Patsy, I have not figured out the wifi yet. I will let you know when I do. You will like the camera, its fun to use.

The other photos are Jonathan Allegrucci and David Barton's new rides. I also got Evan Smith taking shots of Jonathan's Drag Pak.

Dave Kommel 03-18-2016 06:26 PM

Re: "Live From" Gainesville's Double Header

Yo Ken,

Pretty certain Stevenson's ride is a nitrous car which would also explain the intense fire.

It's a disgrace, the NHRA a major league motorsports sanctioning organization, at their own joint, and a venue with a history of this? Give me a reason to understand this crap!

With the Pros having priority and the possibility of more rain delays throughout the weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if they run Monday.

You also gotta remember that the Sportsman pits are a mess and NHRA might not want to risk any dirt getting drug up to the line with the Pros still running.

Re: "Live From" Gainesville's Double Header

Didn't they learn from the "race that never happened" in Baytown? And yes i can comment because my trailer was UNDER water in the back forty. We got #&#&&# because it was a live race. How about being proactive for once. They knew the rain was coming its fricken common sense.

Good morning all, they have push the start time back again this morning. No official start time has been announced. They are drying the track, but the rains are about 10 miles out, and we expect some heavy rain soon. I will keep you updated, but it looks like a wash today.
