Good morning everyone, and its a cool one. Temp right now is 60. The humidity is high at 80%, but it should be at least 5 quicker. Here are the number for you weather geeks....

I know it would be tough to get everyone up there at the same time ,but it sure would be cool to put all the classes together and run them that way. Then the announcer could announce each class and talk about it some.

It is really sad that N.H.R.A. does such a poor job of taking care of their racers and fans , Many racers were ther on the weekend why not park them as they get there to ease their burden on tues. ?

Hey guys, many cars have been through a light tear down today. Almost every carb and throttle body were sealed yesterday. Today as you go by the scales and are a winner in class your carb or TB is checked
As far as normal tear downs goes, I heard 8 or 9 full normal tear downs with one car getting a rod piston along with the normal tear down. I only know one persons name, but I will save that for later or tomorrow. On another note, it was sure nice to hear Brian Lohnes and Alan Reinhart do the announcing for Stock and Super Stock, its just like old times. I'll save everybody alittle suspense. We're car 3649 D/SA, qualified 126 and we'll be in the barn tomorrow at 1pm pulling a rod and piston. They could've at least gave us an early appointment since we have 3 times the work to do as the other teardowns. Sheesh. Oh well, gonna be a busy day tomorrow!

James I have been threw several Indy teardowns. I would get there a lot earlier than that. The most they can say is no. I would push the point of a rod and piston. At least get started on the top end. Or you will be up real late tomorrow night. Do you have to pull the motor or can you get the pan off. Either way it sucks. Good luck. Barry

Thanks Doug, great shots. I will add Don Carson to the tear down list and he will also have a rod a piston out also. So with Don and Bruce Gibson add 10 more is what I am told. I hope to have names tomorrow.
Super Stock will be out at 8am with class round 1. |

Dont have to pull the motor, but do have to take the steering all apart (drag link). I'm just part of the crew, dads the driver. Will be my first time taking part in a tear down though. And with a bum wrapped up hand to boot, lol. (Had surgery Monday) As for the other teardowns, I heard they picked 12, but only 2 for pistons, all others were just pulling a head.
