Re: Original hemi dart information

Just heard about Bill Stiles passing, RIP Mr. Stiles. We also lost Clark Rand today, many of you have probably seen his 68 S&M Barracuda and ramp truck at shows, he was a great historian of the vehicles we love and will be missed, RIP Mr. Rand.

I never use a photo hosting site, if you post off of your own computer the pictures stay AFAIK.

Are there any administrators for this forum listening as Liteweight's thread has obviously brought a lot of traffic for this forum's advertisers. Pics that are easy to contribute and stay there will keep on serving the advertisers and those who contribute for years to come.

Photobucket has probably lost a lot of their members, or the members that are still with them such as myself do not frequent the site very often since their "restructuring".
Their $500.00 USD membership fee PER YEAR to enable people to share full size pictures.to third party forums such as this just is not justified. I have noticed in the last few years Photobucket became a very frustrating site to spend any time on due to the amount of pop ups and junk that came up on screen every time you changed pages there. As I see it they will slowly become just another extinct web site. The advertisers will be seeing the lack of traffic.
This thread with all its visitors and contributors has had the opposite effect. This thread which will surpass 1,500,000 views in the next few months has got to be the only live thread EVER to be on the WWW to have the faithfull following this one has.. That in itself says a lot.
I totally agree with Marfen.. It seems advertisers never seem to be a problem here and I am sure they pay a premium for their product to be shown here.
It would be in the best of everyone who visits this website including advertisers if there were some way of storing full size pictures here from personal files and collections .
Administrators are you paying attention?????

Re: Original hemi dart information

So, in my continuing quest of finding new pictures for both my dart and others on the old WWW I happen to run into the original owner of a Hemi Dart, Rick Kent. He was kind enough to send me a bunch of pictures he has of it from back in the day.
I have invited Rick over here to add a few words or stories on this neat old car.

This is the silver car that went through a restoration over at Moshers

Just too cool!
Seems like a whole new phase of this topic has begun.
"New" pictures from so long ago to continue the history report on these special build cars.
Congrats Daryl.
Look what you started. 😎

It was always great to see Clark and his wife at the shows with the finest Sox and Martin cars in tow. 2008 was when we met Bill Styles at the Hemi reunion. Big man who made a big impact on hemi history. We were lucky to hang out with these guys at the shows.

Re: Original hemi dart information

Been wondering what became of Gold Seeker. Thanks Charlie!!!
Last I saw it was @ Engelharts in 2006.
An original 4 spd car. A really good car. It looked like it's last run down a track resulted in a hurt Hemi or something, disassembled to check for damage and then everything was thrown either in the trunk or interior.

When I saw it 2006

Gold Seeker in active duty. Its neat that it still has what looks to be the stock length B Body Dana in it all these years.
