I was suprised San Antonio wasn't listed. At least Div 4 races are all 1/4 mile. The Tulsa national event is 2 days this year. No more cars than showed last year, should be no problem getting it all in.

Live Nation is not affiliated with the track. What's that got to do with anything?

It was always the longest hike I made, but I enjoyed every trip to San Antonio.

It was the closest track to home. Is'nt Live nation based out of San Antonio?

You're thinking of the Alamo :)

As was stated on here before......if you have a 1/4 mile facility, why race 1/8 mile for a points race? I'm sure your weekly bracket program there runs 1/4 mile!! And I'm sure there are bracket cars running 150mph+. If IHRA or the track operators are concerned with the stopping distance, then lengthen it.....or smooth it out as is the case with Pittsburgh! I personnally like racing at Pittsburgh! They do, however, need to get modern scales! I said this last year and I'll say it again this year! They've got the space for it, put them in before the triple race weekend!! Not only do you get bad readings, but it takes way too long with the scales they use!

I say let Stock, Super Stock and Hot Rod run 1/4 mile and the rest can run 1/8 mile if there is concern about the faster cars getting off the end of the track!!

I agree with Bryan! I have a feeling that money has something to do with this. An insurance policy for an 1/8 mile race is way cheaper than the 1/4 mile version!

Im a bit confused on the 1/8th mile stuff as well here in D5....no one up here 1/8th mile races...you have drive like 3 hours or more south to find an 1/8th mile track. Personaly I dont mind it, but I will say this, the majority up north here hate 1/8th mile. I have seen a bunch of them load up and leave when conditions have forced a track to go 1/8 th for a bracket race..not to mention most .90 guys up here have no 1/8th mile data.

It will definatly be intresting to see if they choose to come try it...or stay home.

shooter.....guess were gonna find out!!

Ed San Antonio was dropped. No National event or divisional. It sucks because it was the closest to us. I guess the new Dallas track will be closer for you at least. The rumor is SA couldn't buy off the guy who owned the land at the end of the track. Were going to go test in December. Finally got the parts to go try it again. ED

I guess Milan decided not to have a National or Divisional, and has nothing to do with jumping sanctions.
