He is lurking in easy reach of both of them (his current 527 points, has him only 126pts behind Anthony, and just 105 behind Edmond). Kevin travels well, and I expect him to be at both races, so those above him (currently) best be looking in their rearview mirrors, because Kevin's making a top end charge and the prize is easily within his reach!!!

Kevin Helms had a first round loss today that I believe eliminated him from contention.

He added 11 to his national points by throwing out that 40. Now at the next race if he goes to 4th round he betters a 50point race with atleast a 61. understand now. No tie possible. edit: unless there is 129 or more cars at one of those divisionals, then 4th round loss would be 60 and a possible tiebreaker.

Thanks for the correction Dusty.Hopefully someone will give you a ride to take a shot at improving you're position.
Wouldn't it be funny if you had to race Richardson 3rd rd.

Am I missing something or is the points system screwed up to give extra points for a race with less cars?

I agree with you Stevie, like I said in a corrected post a couple ahead of yours, I like knowing that just by appearing at the 1st rd of those last two national events, Dusty will be closing in fast on both Anthony and Edmond, and with as few as 3-4 rnd wins (provided neither of them improve anymore), he can vault past both, and cruise to the world championship!!! I wish you luck Dusty, because that would be a bummer if you couldn't get out there and get those 60 appearance points (at a minimum) to help your championship seeking cause!!!

i would love to see dusty win it as well but correct me if im wrong... if he has shown up to three national events then that would throw away his "show up points" therefore he would have to better whatever his worse two nationals were.. i thought it was your best three out of your first five nationals

his last 2 races were a win and a runner-up against some of the best racers in the country. Winning 2 more are not out of the question.

Yeah, you got me on that one Little Bubba, he did use up his "show up points", so I guess he's going to have to get a ride out there, and do what Ed showed he needs to do in order to reach the top, but as Ed said, "you gotta believe"...I think it would be pretty cool if he can pull it off, but even if not...GREAT SEASON DUSTAN....WAY TO GO!!!

By the way Dusty, if you do make it out this way, and race the Divisional, then I'd give you a HIGH FIVE for your awesome season, but now you have to hope that there's a few (+) cancellations since Stock is at 132 entries...so much for the economic state of America (I guess those economist were correct, we are on the rebound)???
