To Mr Teuton, congratulation to you, your crew and the guy's at B&B. How about a Magnum with the same combo. Claude Ruel

I'm not trying to stir the pot, I actually want to know what guidelines that falls under. That is the real issue, regardless of how fast Jeff went. Under what guidelines is it appropriate to offer a free time run?

And/or, is that different that running a race-within-a-race at any event? I assume the CIC race doesn't count towards AHFS?

Pat?

Evan, it was obviously Pat's call to make. He made the decision in the best interest of the racers to Start eliminations Sat afternoon. He felt it was fair to all racers for them to get a time shot. End of story. Pat looks out for his racers first, and I think it was the right thing to do. It had no effect on anyone's qualifying position, and everyone had the opportunity to make a hit. A few people went very fast, its now up to NHRA whether to count those runs or not.

in my earlier post i failed to mention what a great thing i think it is that jeff nailed this combo... he (like my buddy bob shaw) found a great combo and spent his money to build it and shazaam it is a huge success...

no one deserves it more than jeff, he is a great guy and has done more for sportsman racing than most will ever even think about. it is a shame the CIC race wasnt held since the caddy was in the garage :)

I tell you I certainly don't blame Jeff for building one. I would build one in a heart beat (I'm not as caught up in brand competition as some.) but I would have to dig into my retirement acount to do it, which would cause me to also need a lawyer. One old lady from Tulsa would be divorcing my tail. :D

Jeff, it looks like one very nice piece, and I can't wait to see it in Houston. May be getting a real good look at the rear during class. :D

I really like the new SCJs, but same deal.

I don't care what people drive or race. I care more about the person. I don't get the us-against-them thinking.

Thank you for the laugh today! I've had a stressful day at work and reading this just lightened my mood.

Come on now Drooze.....

Don't be so transparent with your trolling for a new (free) race car.... We might have to change our name from New Hemi racing to "We Race to whatever we can get cheap or free, but we race to Win."

I used to be Ford Blue kinda guy, and although I am not cheap, I still could probably be bought if the price were right.

But seriously Drooze.... I may have been serious there... or not.

I am still holding out hope that being a Mopar guy is still just "rebel" enough to fit me... And I still have a few dollars left, so for now we are still hanging in there...
