[QUOTE=Ken Miele;177442] I have never been to a track with those kind of numbers and ran this quick.

Kenny, if you get the time, go to the finish line at the right side of the track. Look across the track and look at the block wall on the left side of the track. Count the rows of block. Now go to the starting line and count the rows of block. The wall IS level. That track must go down hill at least 8 or 9 feet! You didn't expect Bruton to have a slow track, did you?

I enjoyed meeting you today. And thanks again for the Forum.

Good Luck,

Billy's been spending too much time with a carpenter. ;)

You should see South Georgia! It's got a bow in the track. Slow in the 1/8th mile, but you'd haul *% in the 1/4-mile. Harry Morgan's Escort notices it *bigtime*.

Craig,
No tear downs. Some of the racers here would have difficulty changing the tires on their race cars muchless trying to go through tear down. nhra will have to hire staff to help these folks tear down, or stick to tearing down the old buzzards, or give up tear down all together.

Billy,
Bruton's tracks are up and down. Bristol runs up hill and Charlotte runs down hill. Vegas seems about right but I never studied the grade there.

This race should be known as the Four Wide Dump Nationals. I have never seen such a mess. I've bailed on runs in the past but this is crazy. Pretty soon nhra will have to hand out ahfs triggers for this behavior.

Billy, I seem to recall something about an allowable 1 percent downgrade. That would be 13.2 feet. I would expect new track builders, just like racers, to take advantage of the rules. BTW, are you there with " the Don"?
