My buddy's mom had one of those back in the mid sixties. We used to slap the rear trunk lid and it would buckle in for a second and make a sound like a cheap garbage can being beat with a bat. It still makes me laugh now.

The funny thing about this car is we took it out of 40 years of storage added some new M/T slicks a Line lock updated the 30 weight engine oil to 5w20 new trans and rear end fluid (synthetic). Cleaned it up never touched the valve springs and ran 3 tenths faster the first hit out by the end of the day we were under the old record by 4 thenths my dad was cracking up. We have a video somewhere of that day I will find it and download it. This was at the 1st Dover Reunion at Island

What is Snake doing in Ivo's 4 engine dragster,,I never knew that he made a pass in it,, maybe it was just a photo op. I just recently picked up Ivo's new book,, haven't started reading it yet,but I hear its pretty good.

To Steve Stasko, In 64 Chrysler did make 13 Ply with Race Hemis , and steel front ends, ! They also made the same amount and combo in the 64 Dodge ! These cars only came in the Belvedere, and Coronet 440 2 dr Hardtops ! So they were not paper only cars ! We had 2 of the original cars in my home town ! WILD steet cars, that also got raced every weekend !
